McGee will be groomed into the eventual backup. Jon Kitna is 37 and will not play much longer. And over time, perhaps McGee can be good enough to challenge Romo.

in accordance to one among his scouting comments, he has an "sufficient" arm and "above known" accuracy. he's have been given stable length and bulk, and has large feet. He cane make throws on the run, and buys time interior the pocket. He loves the game, has an incredible artwork ethic, and is an incredible chief. yet, he lacks some mechanics and technique, and now and lower back gets "satisfied feet" interior the pocket and gets impatient. He did no longer play in a prostyle offense in college, so it might desire to be an adjustment interior the NFL. He grow to be additionally injured for the time of his final season. some analysts have faith that for the time of many years, the Cowboys would desire to commerce him for a 2d around p.c.., which might make him rather worth it.

Key word, "veteran" backup. Brad Johnson is getting up there in age. He is a Super Bowl quarterback, but he won't be in football forever. McGee will be a good backup

basically because in the modern era of the dallas cowboys there have only been two times when the cowboys had a decent front office making decisions over jerry jones. that was when jimmy johnson was in house, also bill parcells. without them, the cowboys and jerry jones are screwed!

For depth. Remeber the patriots draft a QB almost every year and they have Tom Brady.

Because McGee isn't good enough to start in the Big-12, but good enough for the NFL.

just to groom so if the veteran is gone later in a few yrs they can use him at back-up
