why won't my boat plain?

It was fine last year, but now takes forever (60sec) to get out the hole and refuses to get out with a skier. It ACTS like I have too much weight only wife son and myself 400lb tops. It plains when every one (wife and son) goes up to the front but still takes forever to get out of the hole I checked all the simple stuff I put new gas in it new plugs and wires no water in gas trim is down not a spun hub correct pitch it runs fine out of gear and after it plains its ok 180 sea pro with mercruiser 3.0

If everything is as perfect as you say I would check you don't have a hull section full of water - we have found a boat with a full centre section due to a hole - unknown to the owner. The boat performed as if it was overloaded too which is why we went looking. Without seeing it it in person it is hard to say.

the "correct pitch" is the pitch that gets you the performance you desire. assuming the motor's making all the power she can, then you are overpitched for the load you're carrying and the skier(s) you want to pull.

do a compression test, see if PSI on all cylinders is within 5 or 7% of each other.

    look into Nauticus Smart Tabs.

it sounds like you have water under the floors of the boat. if the boat is on a trailer, park it on an angle with the stern lower that the bow and open or pull the stern plug. i'm guessing that you will see a strong stream of water flowing from the boat.

    hope this helps

Make sure your tank is venting right. Sounds, like a fuel problem somewhere.
