Why do people think "Avatar" characters are stronger then Naruto characters?

A long rant like this really wasn't necessary...and you obviously didn't watch Avatar very much.

1. Aang can't bloodbend, only Katara can, and only during the full moon.

2. Aang can freely control his Avatar state now, so he doesn't need a trigger anymore, unlike Naruto.

Naruto characters would probably pwn all the Avatar characters though, Aang's the only one that could do anything.

And I really don't get how you could say Avatar is a copy of Naruto, that's just plain stupid, there's barely any similarities except the elements thing, but that has roots hundreds of years older than either of the 2 shows.

Some from each show are stronger than some from the other.

I don't think they should be compared in the first place, but still.

I mean, Toph is like obviously stronger than Sakura.

Of course in Avatar the characters don't do anything naughty, it's a kids show. What, you want 7-year-olds to be watching shows with naked people in it? That's why you shouldn't compare those two shows, cause they're in completely different genres.

It's not that Aang can't fight, it's just he doesn't want to. He's a monk and has been raised to not fight unless neccessary. Ninjas fight all the time.

And you think Avatar characters get "steroids"? How about the Naruto characters? Look at them. They get these crazy powers out of nowhere sometimes.

OK, it probably took about months to learn those powers. And Aang spent his life learning airbending. He learned the other elements faster cause the power was like trapped inside him, the same way Naruto had Nine-tails inside of him kinda. And the characters only had less time to learn cause they were limited to a certain amount of episodes, while Naruto is like at what, 200 episodes? So of course the characters in Naruto would have more time, since the creators had more time to add into the show.

Thanks for bringing up the fact that Avatar, in its own way, is mature. Zuko being burned by his father, war, Azula losing her mind, and other stuff. So, since it doesn't have eechi, it's suddenly not "mature"?

And yeah, the Earth benders control earth, Waterbenders control water, Firebenders control fire, and airbenders control air. That's how it us. The powers in Naruto control me. It doesn't even match where they're from sometimes. >.<

Yeah, in Avatar, the characters have limits, which makes it more realistic.

But one last thing, what are the chances of Naruto and Aang fighting? Aang doesn't like fighting, so why would he fight Naruto for no reason? And why would Naruto attack Aang when he knows Aang is a good guy (let's hope he knows that much)? So those two won't fight each other.

Avatar IS more adult. Yes it is appropriate for children but it has a storyline that is likable to all ages, not just prepubescents who like shouting. There is Genocide, Homocide, child abuse, betrayal, war, and a bunch of more adult themes. Just because a show doesn't have a bunch of randomly perverted moments doesn't mean it is "mature", just makes it pervy.

I said Aang would win. I watched most of Naruto, but it gets pretty old pretty fast. Sure Naruto gets a bunch of power ups to ensure his victory, but Aang is the Avatar. Reincarnation of the planet, all powers within his control. And how exactly is running around in an orange track suit "ninja"?

There may be "more" elements in naruto, but those similar elements can be accessed in Avatar. Waterbendings can control anything with water or liquid (bloodbending for example). Earthbenders can control earth, metal, and sand. Firebenders (only of incredible skill) can create lightning. The fact that the elements can be controlled even though they aren't the basics shows that the characters have to be great and powerful benders to control such a thing without being injured.

In naruto people get powerups whenever they feel like it. Avatar is much more realistic because people have limits and also the amount of skill it takes to bend. Naruto characters "train" and might get hurt, but there is no real struggle involved.

And if you think Aang can't fight you obviously didn't watch the whole series. Yes, he is a lover not a fighter, but that doesn't mean he CAN'T fight.

Also it doesn't matter if avatar is anime or not. What in the world does that have to do with it? A great show can be a great show whether or not it came from Japan. If you say it can't, you are being thick and pigheaded.

Also like the guy above me said, they are characters from two COMPLETELY DIFFERENT worlds and universes. They can never be properly compared. And besides you are doing the comparing. Don't blame people for answering like you asked.

EDIT: Naruto characters DO get "steroid" powers. There is no realistic limit to their powers, they just keep going on and on and on and on and on and on. Also Avatar is like over a year long (without crappy fillers). Aang is the Avatar, naturally gifted with bending since over HUNDREDS of his past lives are benders. Benders train their whole lives to become masters. They aren't just all of a sudden getting it. You see the characters train and struggle with the bending all throughout the series.

And saying "so... yeah there ya go" at the end of your statement doesn't mean you are correct.

EDIT2: Also saying that Naruto would go Kyuubi is just as foolish as saying Aang would go into the avatar state and win. They are both the characters kind of "master form".

EDIT3: How exactly is bloodbending stupid? It is simply another form of Waterbending. You are controlling the water that makes up 70% of the human body. Why is that so unimpressive?

In YOUR OPINION it is an add on. I think EVERYTHING in Naruto is an add on. It wasn't even a "new" thing. It was waterbending. Simple as that.

Man, what a funny rant. Nickelodeon was just trying to make Avatar more anime-like. It's not the show's fault that fans consider the characters to be stronger than Naruto characters.

I felt that Avatar was well put together considering the directors and such. Heck, even the voice acting was better than I expected. If you think about it though, all anime (and anime knock-off's) have to have a "secret move" if you will. Bleach has that whole "half-breed hollow thing", Naruto "beast within" One Piece "devil fruit" DBZ "super stages." So, the whole secret moves such as Blood Bending is just following the footsteps as every other shounen based anime/cartoon does.

In the end, don't blame the show, blame the fans V.V

Just ignore it, that kind of stuff is forgotten after a while (excusing DBZ of course).

Oh, um....I still think the Naruto show is not well put together (as it was in the first season), but avatar characters would still not woop naruto characters' butts.

Anime fans have become way too into Naruto the anime. The manga fans know more of Naruto than the anime fans. It's pretty bias to me.

I'm not that good at these arguments, but I'll try to explain my view:

It is kinda annoying how all the Avatar people compare their shows to anime like Naruto and Inuyasha. They think that everything that goes on in Naruto is over exaggerated and way out of proportion, but when you look at it, Avatar is way more unrealistic. And your right about the fists thing. Aang's air twisting thing is nothing compared to what the ninjas can do, even without their jutsu.

~I'm not that big a fan of Naruto, but I do think that the fans of American TV have been rubbing their avatar in our faces long enough

Chu, I agree that Naruto kills Avatar in every way, but Bleach kills them both. Avatar is more of a kid show, Naruto is great (Shippuden better), but Bleach has everything. Cool-*** characters, top-notch action, great storyline, and that maturity I like. Avatar >>> Naruto >>> Bleach
