Have seen 5 snakes in my yard in the past 3 weeks. We have put out lime and moth balls. Any other suggestions?

There is a product called "Snake Away". It's a granular substance that kind of smells like moth balls that you put down outside and it keeps snakes away for up to 3 months. The military uses it a lot. I get it at Lowes.

Mow your lawn often enough so the grass doesn't get more than 3 inches high, they like the cool and damp of a tall lawn. That said, if they aren't poisonous, they won't hurt you, so leave them alone, they are probably hunting for the mice, voles, and moles that infest many lawns and garden areas. I'd rather have the snakes than the mice. Besides, it's quite possible that you haven't seen 5 different snakes unless you saw them all at the same time. You may have seen the same snake 5 times.

I have a bad snake problem as well. Try using moth balls. Sprinkle them all around your yard.

Borrow my dog! Most dogs hate snakes and will chase them away. Wonder why snakes are hanging around? Is there food for them there? Create an environment that is not hospitable for them.
