ok this may sound dumb but i....?

i for get what a adjetive is. i tryed finding it on google but that was no help. can so one please tell me what it is????

    We always used to say that it was a "describing word".

    An adjective is a describing word

    It tells us the size, colour, shape, amount etc of something

    In the sentence 'The young girl lost her new doll', young and new are adjectives.

    An adjective is a word that describes a noun, here are some examples: hot, cold, silly, dumb, smart, big, fat, thin, tiny, interesting, exciting, sweet, sour, bitchy, kind. You get the pic!

    Judging by your extensive use of proper grammer in your question, I am very surprised that you would forget what an adjective is. Ironically you used one in your question that both answers the question and gives a fairly good description of yourself. hint...its descriptive of a noun

    it is a word that describes another word. Like silly, fun, big, fluffy can all describe your pet poodle.
