I think Taliban should be exterminated, I mean - killed slowly so they can suffer. Don't you agree?

Update:

Oh no, I'm against the death penalty myself - I only meant the battlefield. If they're caught, then no, they shouldn't be killed but rather put into the harshest prison for life.

You better get Pakistan to agree before they are completely taken over....and convince the U.S that it is in our best interest and the worlds best interest to keep Pakistan's nuclear weapons out of their hands.

it is scary the way they are going to own Pakistan soon...they already have taken over 1/3 of it.....and moving into more towns everyday.

    When does it stop?????

No cause that makes us just like them, hunted down and captured and jailed yes, put to death after being tried maybe, but tortured and killed you may as well be the one wearing the turban yelling allah while you blow something up. There is a reason America is special because we are good we stand for something pure, the betterment of the world, I understand your anger, but doing things that way is not the answer. If that was the case, you may as well add muhjahadeen, hezbollah, the congolese warlords and Kim Jong ill to your list. Not to mention half of the rest of the world. There is a reason that we are the truly holy warriors, because our great power and might is wielded for the people of the world, so don't tarnish yourself by throwing in with their lot, you belong to something far more special than that.

the problem is the Reagan administration helped create the Taliban to fight the Soviet Union back in the 1980s they are our pet monster that turned on us

t was as a result of Reagan's obsession with " defeating the Commies" which is why the CIA trained the Mujaheddin and foreign fighters such as Bin Laden to go into Afghanistan to fight the Russians in the early 1980's

The first Gulf War and set up permanent bases in Saudi Arabia was the tipping point.

Turki al-Faisal checked around and discovered that a young member of the fabulously wealthy Bin Laden construction dynasty, Usama, was committed to Islamic causes. Turki thus gave Usama the task of raising money from Gulf millionaires for the Afghan struggle. This whole effort was undertaken, remember, on Reagan Administration instructions.

Bin Laden not only raised millions for the effort, but helped encourage Arab volunteers to go fight for Reagan against the Soviets and the Afghan communists. The Arab volunteers included people like Ayman al-Zawahiri, a young physician who had been jailed for having been involved in the assassination of Egyptian president Anwar El-Sadat. Bin Laden kept a database of these volunteers. In Arabic the word for base is al-Qaeda.

No. If you do that makes you no better than them.

The Taliban are just people who have been led by their religious leaders to a particular mindset - nothing unique about that. The U.S. has plenty of religious zealots too.

I don't see how torturing someone to death just because they have different religious beliefs is particularly helpful.

Yea, who's gonna find them all, you? To a civilian it sounds so easy, its as if you think the terrorists, the insurgents, and the taliban are all wearing an armband telling you what they are.

If we find them, yea sure kill them after you torture them for information, after all they're not entitled to the same rights as uniformed soldiers as laid on in the geneva convention.

I don't really believe in the death penalty, but I would like to see as many as possible tried and imprisoned.

We don't seem to be very good at finding them, though.

I believe that torturing people is unAmerican and diminishes the humanity of the torturer. Wouldn't you worry about having people in power who enjoy that sort of thing?

I agree. I would like to be there to help. I have lost to many friends to them.

They are still people that fights for their religion even if they are extremists they are just strictly following their religion. Think of the crusades and Christianity.
