Have you ever used Visioning to picture yourself as Dr. Heathcliff Huxtable and your wife as Claire Huxtable?

Part of the couples therapy I do for the married people who visit my Marriage Psychic practice is helping couples "vision" a new reality; couples that argue a lot and can't seem to function. A family we all know as functional are the Huxtables from "The Cosby Show."

Just yesterday, I had two, shall we say, low-income clients from the more rural part of the county, and I had them try this. At first, they mocked me, calling me "Little Lord Fonteroy" and "Fancy Pants." But, sure enough, by the end of the hour, he was wearing a big sweater and she was sucking on his Pudding Pop.

Have you ever visioned as an unhappy couple to become a happy couple?

No, but my family was so dysfunctional as a child, that I would watch them on TV and imagine what it would be like to be in a family like that... Honestly, their family dilemmas and how they handled it were almost like lessons for me... I used to think, "If only my parents were like that...." minus the pudding pop of course.. lol..

Yes, I've tried visioning us as a happy couple, in a mutually giving and loving relationship, and it didn't work. = ( Some people are beyond hope.

Yeah, J.J., that Pudding Pop joke stood out, lol! Bill Cosby would be so proud you remembered his commercial!

I would love to have a family like them. Anytime the kids do something bad, they don't get hit or yelled at. They just get to learn there lesson and everything is still honky dory. Its a wonderful life to imagine. Either that or Fresh Prince...ahaha! jk

No, I am thinking more along the lines of the Brady Bunch.

Carol and Mike typified raw powerful and passionate sexuality.
