Where did the bruins fans go?

In round one they were everywhere, now they are not around. Where they Bruin fans or Habs haters? Do they think its over now that they beat the Habs?

Anyone watching that game tonight or are we all watching the Caps/Pens?

Update:

Spaceboy, I am not really watching tonights game, only during comercials in the Caps pens game. Judging by the shots it seems like Carolina is getting the best of it. Maybe the Habs were too easy and made them soft.

Update 2:

Howler- finish that paper and watch the OT it is going to be good. Hope things work out with your Coyotes. Being an old Expos fan I know what you are feeling and it isn't fun.

I'm still here, watched the game tonight, hats off to the Canes, they never quit and Ward has been awesome last 2 games.Only a couple of the Bruins players have been to the second round or farther with different teams before, where as many of the Canes were on the Cup winning team in 2006,maybe that will be the difference in this series, experience and knowing what it takes to win.On paper and by regular season stats this should be a cakewalk for the Bruins but the playoffs are a different animal.Win or lose I'll still be a diehard B's fan after all it's been 38 years since the last cup so I don't get too excited, although expectations for this team were high this year.Maybe beating the Habs wil be our "Cup" this year but the series is still young, can only hope for the best.

  • It was mentioned earlier. I will add that when you have success in one city such as Boston between 3 of the 4 major sports, esepcially at the same time, number one is always going to take precedent. Number one currently are the Celtics, followed by the, Red Sox, (trying to remain unbeaten vs the Yankees), followed by the Bruins. Couple 2 consecutive playoff loses for the Bruins coinciding with the Celtics advancing to the NBA Conf Semi's and the Bruins, are slowly losing their confidence and quite possibly some of their fans as well. Nervous-Nellies I call 'em. First-timers, etc.

If Carolina goes up 2-1 in the series the doubt in Boston will get bigger and so we will hardly a large bruins following here unless the Burins make it to the Finals.

Actually I'm not watching any games since I'm finishing up my paper that is due by tommorow.

Looking at the score online Malkin just came up big for the Penguins scoring in the 3rd. Boy the Pens needed him big right now otherwise Pittsburgh could go down 3-0 in the series if their defense and goaltending doesn't hold up.

Source(s): EDIT Backstrom just tied it up late in the 3rd.

still here. the problem is that the red sox, bruins and celtics are all playing on the same night. the nba and nhl are competing in the same market and I think its dumb but they don't i guess. there were a lot of "bruin fans" that came out for that one rivalry and they were buzzin for this series until they came out flat sunday night, and now they fell off the bandwagon. Lucic had an awful game sunday, he was skating all over and not staying on his wing, and the small band wagon loves Lucic. But on the real its b/c there is too much going on and the bruins are kinda third on the totem pole right now... the red sox just owned the Yankees too people are stoked about that.

they'll be back fr the series with Sid/A.O.

I'm watching my bruins, I'm doing my trick right now, I can turn the tv on at any moment and a goal will be scored at that exact moment... here i go wish me luck.

I'm here and I am mad.

They are not playing their "style" and if it continues they will be golfing with their buddy, Joe Thornton.

EDIT: They were successful this year when they were physical...when they were high tempo. If Carolina has figured that out, Julien might have to further earn that Adams Trophy quickly!

I AM RIGHT HERE i still see A LOT of fans of bruins around. though you are one of only 2 canadien fans i see here. the rest just probably went to the corner to cry about getting swept and dont wanna talk about it, thats probably why most of THEM are gone JUST KIDDING.
