Other holidays,while perhaps Religious in Origin,at least have some secular following as well.I would be the first to say that any Government Act promoting Religion should not be allowed.But since this is directed at a specific Religion,by name I think it easily crosses the line,that other Religiously Based holidays being recognized by the Government did not.

So much for that whole "Separation Of Church And State" thing!!

Of course they may have honestly bought into the whole "Religion Of Peace" lie,but it seems more like they are just continuing along the Politically Correct Act of kissing our enemies asses.Thinking that somehow this will make them like us,tolerate us,or decide they don't want to kill everyone who is not Muslim.

Well, I think Christmas qualifies as Christian Day. I was going to say someone should sue the Hawaii legislature if the bill gets passed because of first amendment violation. But that argument fails unless we get rid of Christmas as a national holiday.

Bringing up denominations would only make sense if they had made it Shi'a Muslim day or Sunni Muslim Day or Derviish day or Taliban Day. .

Sure you can have your day.

But let every other day be Athiest and Hypocrite and Agnostic Day

Few and fewer people identify themselves as Evangelical Christians every year, Thank God!

Contact your state's legislature if you wish for such. What Hawaii chooses to do regarding a symbolic gesture truly impacts no one negatively.
