What is the weather like in San Francisco in late October?

Is it still warm? Or is that the rainy season?

October has what most people consider the best weather. The days are warm and sunny. We usually get an Indian summer at the beginning of the month with the last heat waves of the year. The summer fog is gone. The nights are starting to get a little cool toward the end of the month. We usually get one storm mid-October but it usually only last a day.

There isn't really a warm season in San Francisco. There are occasional warm days and more frequent cold days.

The weather almost never gets below the 50's or over the 70's. It is fairly pleasant all year around. It also depends on if you are near the ocean or bay - colder at the ocean.

If you visit in October bring a coat and an umbrella and hope it doesn't rain.

I worked in S.F. for the last 10+ years and only went without a coat in the morning once or twice a year.

Well hopefully it's the rainy season. We need the rain. But honestly, it will be getting colder and maybe wet by then. You never know.
