Laptop processor question?

I'm buying my wife a laptop and I have a processor question. She mainly uses it for word, internet, a a few low intensity business programs. How important is the processor? What effect will choosing a Intel® Core™ 2 Duo P8400 (2.26GHz) over a 2.53GHz make? Thanks in advance.

Very little difference - for better processing make sure you get a laptop with as much memory (RAM) as you can afford. For Vista I would suggest a minimum of 2GB

The processor is quite important if you don't want to wait for 2 minutes for every document to open. having a Intel® Core™ 2 Duo is already enough if for low intensity business programs. I would suggest u buy the cheaper one =D

certainly get a quickly processor, it may look high quality interior the fast run, yet interior the long-term it wont do you lots stable. that's particularly helpful to play video games and such interior the destiny and all your doing is proscribing your self by means of having it. i might for my section spend fairly greater and get a 2.0 ghz on the least. in the journey that your on a funds, you will locate a reasonably stable deal on a twin center a million.8Ghz which will nonetheless be lots greater desirable than a a million.6Ghz CPU.

A few megahertz wont make any difference for simple tasks like browsing the internet, office programs, accounting programs like sage etc.

    Should be fine with 2.26GHz
