It will be very hard but they can be stopped. I see them losing at least one game this season. If they play with the same passion as they did last season after the lose to Ole Miss then I can't see anyone stopping them. They lost one player on offense in Percy Harvin. That will hurt their offense but someone will step up. The defense will be even better than last season. Most of them were freshman and sophomores and they were still pretty good last season. They held their own against Sam Bradford and the Sooners high powered offense. If they can make it through the season with just one loss then they will be back in the national championship game and repeat.

This is coming from an LSU fan and I cannot stand the Gators.

Florida Gators the USC of the SEC! I really don't think so although this year LSU will actually have a defensive coordinator. And maby in the championship game. I know what some people say Ole Miss maby they got that in last year, But Rebs showed me true character and beat a Great Texas Tech team. Cuz you all may be very dangerous to the Gators may have gotten their attention this time.

The Gators have as many as four games on their schedule that they could lose:

At LSU - currently scheduled as a night game and LSU will be very motivated after the beat down they received last year.

Vs Georgia - this game is at a critical point when injuries will be catching up with both teams. And rivalry games are always potential upsets

The SEC Championship Game - It will be two top 10 teams.

Whatever Bowl game they wind up in - Probably a top 10 opponent

Of course, the Gators have a long tradition of losing games that they should win. It wouldn't surprise me if they blew a game against South Carolina or FSU or something.

sure-they are deep, maximum probable 10 wins yet SEC champs or contend for national Championship-no. hindrances: Bama, UT,LSU,UGA and upcoming FSU ought to probable hand UF 2-3 losses in the event that they are no longer arranged.ability positions will require some palyer changes. Now here twelve months relies upon on Brantley if he comes on reliable and maintains to be for his senior twelve months. do no longer assume the Gators to fall back to 6-8 wins-no longer on Meyers watch-he's only too reliable and he's familiar with the thank you to inspire his team. I even have accompanied the Gators for notably much 50 years and comprehend what they ar able to. see you later as Meyer is there or if he leaves and a powerful coach follows hime they would be contenders for some years yet to come returned.

Yes. Over the last couple of years, 3 of the top 4 favorites for the National Championship did not reach that goal. Georgia last year was supposed to be unbeatable. They've said the same thing about Miami in '02, Oklahoma in '04, USC in '05, Ohio St. in '06, and Florida in '07. Obviously it didn't work out for those teams.

Their is always a chance that Florida will lose a game that they are not supposed to lose like last year to Ole Miss. Maybe this is the year South Carolina steps up or somebody else, who knows. But their best chance to lose will be at LSU.

Well....Ole Miss stopped them last year, so they weren't unstoppable then, how did they become totally unstoppable over the spring? College teams that have this much pre season hype rarely live up to it. Florida could easily lose in the SEC this season to LSU, Tennesee, or South Carolina, or a combination of the two teams. The good news for Gators is that Georgia is rebuilidng, so it should give them a good road win for the season. (Because Georgia will once more be vastly overrated) Then taking that away, Florida can still beat Florida at the end of the day.

Outside the SEC there is just as much competition. Oklahoma and Texas didn't get worse over spring either. If Ohio State beats USC, they'll be in the picture, and if USC beats Ohio Sate they'll be in the picture, and we all know USC will have the home field advantage this year if they make the National Championship. (Total BS that happens...Oklahoma got stuck basically playing 3 teams at home for the title, Florida will get owned by USC in the Rose Bowl. They wont know what hit em)

Ha ha ha.....kitty k is friggin delusional did you say tenn. and south carolina?!?! LSU MIGHT have a chance because we play in baton rouge, but even their chances are slim. Tenn. is rebuilding also and south carolina is just a mid-tier SEC team.....Kitty K is the most butt-hurt oklahoma fan in the world and thats a fact...is it not? Florida would have beaten a "healthy" oklahoma team any day of the week...besides Choklahoma only had like 2 ppl out on offense so its not like the whole team was ravaged by injuries...so thats a lame excuse. heres the real facts.....as good as floridas defense was last year(7th in total defense) they are bound to be much better this season.....like it was mentioned before, we have every starter AND their back up from last years already smothering defensive squad...we lost percy harvin and louis murphy, but have an array of play makers on offense(not to mention the fastest player in the ncaa last year in Jeff Demps). Tebow becomes more of QB every day, and noone does a better job of coaching than urban meyer....that being said there are a couple teams that do have a shot at stopping florida because lets face it, no team is unbeatable right? I think that Texas and Oklahoma are the only two teams on the same level as Florida and could possibly beat them.....thats it.....USC, OSU, Bama are all very strong teams, but I just dont think that they are on the same level as UF,UT or OK....and thats real...as a matter of fact, for the first time in a long time I think that the most grueling part of the season for UF will be the the conference champ. game and the bowl game and not from our SEC season schedule......so sure the Gators can be stopped it not impossible...but its kind of looking improbable at this point.......they are beasts...

Source(s): dont get mad at me for saying what needed to be said..... GO GATORS!!!WOOT!!WOOT!!!

Hi guys; late as usual this one is enticing because of a stupid idiot PAB who is the JO of all. Change that oo to a US you dummy. Nice game plan employed by urban and company; ok guys let's clutch and grab every chance we get at their receivers and then we will be able to get to Sam. On third down I want you guys (the O line of suckada) holding so we can convert to a first. Yes; it needed to be said you BSB; if not for those 2 facts OU wins easily and in Miami to boot. So I don't want to hear your crap about your gators and the antichrist (another waurfel BTW).

Sorry John, but I can not and will not let ignorance ride!, but to answer your ? if the gators meet OU again on January 7th watch out; we will not be cheated again!

  • In order: OU, USC, Texas, Utah, or Miami in the Title game. On their schedule it looks like maybe LSU at LSU could have a chance. The rest of their schedule is WEAK. Their nonconference schedule is a joke too. They should stay fresh all year considering they won' thave a flight longer than 1 hour. Real ballsy. Wonder why they don't have a west coast game on there.

I think that Texas is going to be really good this year and that they can challenge Florida, LSU is good every year and are always threat. Alabama will be really good this year also. I think that Terrell Pryor from Ohio State is going to have OSU like Vince Young Had Texas back in '05 so Florida will have to watch out for them too. Florida is going to be the best team in the nation next year but i think those are the teams that can stop them from winning the national championship.
