What is the meaning of this voodoo letter?

My father has a very dark and criminal back ground, and I have a three year old son. I was not raised by my father, he left when I was three. I have chosen not to allow my son to be exposed to this, and I changed my number. Every since, I have received threatening letters. The latest came today, and was full of wierd drawings and items. There was an Oakleaf, a drawing of a face with swords crossed in an X shape below the face, a candy wrapper, a penny, a stamp with that same drawing on the back, what looks like the wing of some bug, and some other small scaps of things like small pieces of wood chips. Is this voodoo of some kind or is it just plain nutty? I know very little about this kind of thing, but I cannot help but be frightened somewhat. Does anyone have any idea what this could mean?

This person is trying to use scare tactics on you. These symbols have little significances when put together. However he may find them quite significant. This is where the power comes from, intent. There is no telling what is meant by this rather than to frighten you to bending to his will. I suggest that you try sending his feeble hex back toward him with some basic candle magic. First burn some sage all around your home and particularly in the room of your son. Then burn a silver candle saying your intent to send the hex back to whence it came. Then I would suggest that your son follow a protection spell that i have found on this link...Healing Wings: http://healingwings.vpweb.com/default.html

It's definitely not traditional Voodoo, I suppose it *could* be some other tradition. But, overall, I'm with the idea that it's either A) A poor, but genuine, attempt at a curse of B) An effort to scare you into thinking there's a curse.

The combination of ingredients just sound bizarre -- it almost sounds like just stuff pulled out of a vacuum cleaner bag.

In any case, if it is by some chance a real spell -- take it to the river and toss it in, that undoes it.

Yuck. Your Dad has the crazy. Sorry. :(

It's doubtful that it's voodoo. It's probably meant to scare you into thinking it's some kind of curse, which is what it did, because you came here to ask about it. Even if it IS a curse, it's easily negated. If I were you, I would simply get a bowl and put dirt in it from your house (if you have a garden, even better - some dirt from there would work great) and just burn the letter in the bowl of dirt. When it's done and is only ashes, mix the ashes with the dirt with a spoon and bury the whole thing.

i'm a practitioner of traditional witchcraft and hoodoo

this does sound like a type of hex or crossing..

you being scared in just increasing the power of the spell,

what you need to do is gather all the things together

burn them and the ashes.. take it off your property!!!!

and bury it.. sprinkle salt one the ashes and cover it up with dirt

then pour salt on top of it..

now your going to need to do an uncrossing ritual

its more of a spiritual bath.. mix in the water salt, rue, mint, and agrimony.. if u can't get these things salt works just fine

once your done with the bath air dry don't use a towel

before and after the bath read the 37th psalm from the bible

and ask that the hex be removed.. keep praying and say the 37th psalms every night for 9 days.. u got to be careful cause u don't know what kinda power he may have.. if he has a dark background then he might know just what he is doing, better safe than sorry

you can also do a protection spells and if it comes down to it

you could even work sum roots on him.. or put a spell on him as its called, if he is a danger to you and your child then u got to do what is necessary.. even if that means bringing him to death

i wouldn ever let a fool try to work roots on me and mine and get away with it.. but u know nothing of this.. so the best thing to do is do what i told you.. also light white candles for protection but don't blow them out pinch the wick to put it out. don't burn urself tho ;)

if u have any questions just ask i'm here to help

while some would disagree with me, I believe there is a chance someone is making a feeble attempt at a hex. the only thing that gave me a thought on this one was the oak leaf.

If you are not a witch yourself I recommend encompassing yourself with mental light, and pray (if that's what you do). Witchcraft or not, hexes have a way of not working when the victim does a protective barrier.

If this is a hex, the sender will receive his/her Karma.

Three steps you need to take...

    - Neutralize the curse.

    - Perform a separation ritual.

    - Bind your father.

You don't need to be a witch to do these things. Everyone has magic. Your intent is your power. Just concentrate on the meaning and symbolism of the ritual, and the magic will work.

    NEUTRALIZING THE CURSE....

Go to the beach. Scoop up a bowl of seawater. Burn the letter (still at the beach) over a white candle. Dump the ashes into the bowl of seawater. Chant...

    Evil Eyes, look unto thee,

    May they soon extinguished be.

Bend thy will to the Law of Three.

Eye of earth, evil and accursed.

Toss the water and ashes into the ocean. This will undo the curse and send it back to him.

SEPARATION RITUAL... (To magically break the tie between you and your father and keep him from pestering you.)

Anoint nine white votive candles (the fat, big ones) with essential oils of tansy, thyme, rose, and pennyroyal. (Exact amount doesn't matter. Just coat the candles with them.) Light them and place in a circle.

Get your son and husband in the circle. In the center, you should have a metal bowl (big enough to fit a poppet). Pin a photo of your father to the poppet with a rose. Close your eyes, and chant.

Your love will wither and depart

From my life and my heart.

Let me be (name of your dad) and go away forever.

Place the poppet into the bowl and burn it. When flames subside, the spell is complete.

BINDING SPELL...(To prevent him from cursing you or sending you negative energy.)

Tie a photo of your dad to a white candle (any kind that drips wax). Light it and put it in the center of your workspace. Surround the candle with a circle of seasalt. Then form another circle with rosemary, sage, and lavender. (Dried or fresh is fine.) Chant.

In this night and in this hour,

Take away ALL of his powers!

Burn dragonblood incense. (Search for it online.) And just sit there and focus your energy on binding your father. Imagine a strong white light coming in between him and you and your loved ones. The spell is complete when the wax completely covers his photo. Blow out the candle and bury it in your garden.

Dress yourself in sackcloth, sprinkle ashes upon your head, and utter this lament:

Woe is me! For what am I,

A whore of father's love denied,

Sent a message of witchcraft spell

Pressed in a destiny of fire and hell.
