Well, jogging would probably be better instead of straining yourself in any way (like sprinting).

I had a miscarrige the first time I ever got pregnant and Im a runner. I ran till I was almost 3 months and had a miscarrige. But evryone is different. My friend on the other hand ran till she was 6 months and her baby is fine. Im 32 weeks pregnant now and I didn't run at all this pregnancy just because Im over cautious this time. I walk for thirty minutes 5 times a week up and down hill to make up for the running and Im in good shape. If I were you I would run on an eliptical or walk cause thats what I do and evrything is great including my weight.

You are able to continue with your normal level of exercise, and running is not going to cause brain damage, LOL!
There is an anesthesiologist I work with who was pregnant a few years ago and she ran a marathon in her third trimester. I'm not kidding. She didn't stop running until the last 6 weeks or so, only because it was too uncomfortable for her.
Talk to your doctor, so you know the truth straight from the source YOU trust.

Vigorous or strenuous activity is not good for the baby. You should probably check with your doctor to develop an exercise regimen if you would like to work out. But i recommend walking and yoga. And Plus the yoga can also help with some discomforts that you may have during your pregnancy. It helps me. Stretching every once and a while sort of helps with my back and side pains. But i wouldn't advise you to run, I mean i wouldn't want you to fall and hurt yourself or the baby.

The first poster is correct; my Dr. warned me against running, horseback riding, etc while I was pregnant because it can cause brain damage to the baby. I guess it would be like shaken baby syndrome before the baby is even born.

I did when I didn't know that I was pregnant, and everything is fine with my baby. What you can do is ask your doctor the next time you go if it's ok for you to and they will tell you.

You might get a sidestitch, leg cramp, or backache, or you might be fine. All of the above has happened to me.
My daughter keeps me running, haha...
Some running is good, just don't overexert yourself.

If you're not a runner, your doctor would tell you not to start now. If you've been running a while, it would still be okay to jog or walk briskly.

Usually vigorous actitivity is not recommended until after three months. But if you are having no problems what so ever continue unless the doctor says not to. I was told by my doctor to hold off until three months.
