Why didn't Scooter Libby get pardoned?
Outing Valerie was clearly an orchestrated event. Who the conductor was is subject for discussion but it seems like it served it's purpose.

Add to cshs1960 : also Saddam already had 550 tons of uranium ore. And Plame was not covert at the time - not ilegal to reveal her ID.
Bob Novak wrote the article revealing the story. He told the special persecutor (fitzgerald), right at the beginning who his source was- Armitage.
But Armitage was a state department guy & against the iraq war. No political advantage persecuting him. So fitzgerald spent two years making headlines, by testing peoples memories.
Scooter was technically guilty - he didn't remember what he'd said to a reporter a year previous. Reporters take notes.
Another case of democrats using their positions of power to harass opponents. Like Sen. Stevens - an angry judge dismissed the charges against him, right after the election.
How can you people support such obviously cheating, self serving crooks?
BTW - were any of your politicians angry when some scuzzball wrote a book in the 90s, identifying many CIA covert agents?

Couric Previews Valerie Plame Interview, No Mention of Leaker Armitage
Perhaps one of the most distorted stories in recent mainstream media history, the Valerie Plame CIA leak controversy, has become even more so with Plame’s upcoming "60 Minutes" interview with CBS Anchor, Katie Couric. On Friday’s CBS "Early Show," co-host Harry Smith talked with Couric about the interview and began by describing Plame as "...beautiful, smart, a covert agent."
Smith then went on to summarize the media-manufactured scandal that ensued after Plame’s name was mentioned in Bob Novak's syndicated column:
Speculation was rampant that the leaking of her name, which is a crime, came from inside the Bush Administration, in retaliation for her husband's column. The leak grew into a scandal that embroiled the political elite in Washington....When it was all over, Vice President Cheney's Chief of Staff, Lewis "Scooter" Libby, was charged and convicted of lying to investigators and obstruction of justice. President Bush later commuted sentence, no one was ever charged with knowingly leaking Valerie Plame's name.
(((((((((((((The problem with this little summary is that it completely leaves out the fact that person responsible for giving Plame’s name to Novak was former Undersecretary of State, Richard Armitage, who mentioned her name in an interview with Novak and was never charged with any crime. Also missing was any indication of her husband, Joe Wilson, being a Kerry Campaign advisor in 2004.))))))))))))))))))))

certainly, Bush will pardon him. Scooter can drag out appeals and Bush can pardon hin as he leaves place of work. i think of all of us comprehend that had Cheney or Rove been named by utilising Libby, he would not have taken the autumn for them. Why is that this pardon particularly heinous? because of the fact all of us suspect that Libby in basic terms lied for those bigger united stateshow extreme does it flow? Feels Watergate-ish to me. that's basically the initiating. I basically choose to function for people who shop saying "Plame wasn't covert" & every physique would have obtained that guidance. in case your comany has your SS# on report, do you think of he ought to disclose your Social protection # in a collection assembly?
