Why do Liberals and the Far Left so VIOLENTLY attack people that they disagree with?

Liberals are not tolerant like they claim to be. They are hateful and bitter little creatures.

I wouldn't go so far as to call liberals psychopaths. It is obvious, however, that they are unable to articulate their position on the majority of issues intelligently and honestly, so the attack strategy is the only weapon in their arsenal. There is simply no way to argue that abortion is not infantacide, so all that's left for them is to attack those who are against killing unborn babies as being against womens' reproductive rights. Those who are against the legalization of homosexual unions are labeled as homophobes when the left cannot intellectually get around that pesky definition of "marriage" as being a union of a man and a woman.

Both sides do it, but....

Liberals do because now they can. Having a liberal president gives them a feeling that they can say anything they want and get away with it now. It's a power thing.

I followed the tea party protests pretty closely and I heard a lot of complaints about big government and high taxes but not a word about Obama being black. (BTW: I voted for Barak Obama)

Miss California being asked about gay marriage????? What the hell has gay marriage got to do with a beauty contest???? (BTW: I support gay marriage.)

It's much easier and more convenient to just hate someone who disagrees with you rather than try to understand their viewpoint.

Have you ever considered that it might not be your views that people are violently attacking? I think your use of grammar is probably a factor. Also, as you appear to believe that anyone who believes that a man should be able to live as he wishes just so long as he isn't hurting his neighbour (this is what a liberal is, no matter what Fox news may tell you) is mentally ill i find it unsurprising that people may over-react.
