Boy, this series just gets better and better?
Anyone else catch the Caps player that got dumped (albeit, dive or no dive) in the Pittsburgh zone before the Pens went the length of the ice and scored with a second remaining on the PP?
In no way am I complaining here as the Caps are a division rival but you gotta believe that after all the complaining the Capitals have done to the league over officiating, something like that gets called.
BOB - Whether he dove or he didn't, I think a penalty has to result from that play. Give the interference minor and/or the diving minor. But something's gotta give.

Complaining can be a double edged sword. Gee, I sound like my stalker.
BTW, what do you mean by "albeit, dive or no dive?"
Calls can go both ways.....Andrew wasn't complaining about the Caps getting away with TWO penalties and then scoring their 3rd goal of the game directly after in Game 4 (even though they still lost).......and I know that you know the two missed calls I am talking about Andrew. Crap happens....BOTH ways! Letang whistled for a penalty on a beautiful defensive play early in the series (where he dove and touched the puck FIRST...I KNOW you remember that one TOO Andrew).
Andrew- They changed the rule? LOL The Pens have more PP's? LOL.....that is a result of them dictating the play. PP's are not supposed to work out to an even number per team...you do know that right?
Source(s): Lucky bounces and missed calls. Here it comes....everybody prepare themselves, it was the same thing last year against the Flyers Andrew wasn't it? ANDREW- Stop your whining! - 1 decade ago
the refs did not call anything for the 2nd and 3rd period on any teams even though the caps were committing blatant penalties, especially ovechkin and the caps yet again suck it up in ot and take a penaly after giving 2 breakaways to malkin and crosby. thats some great defense. i didn't like the refs not calling all of the penalties but they let the teams play for the last 2 periods and the better team came out and won. Go Pens!

Yea thats pretty um blatent call it needs to be made and it costs us the game. Im feeling suicidal right now
They changed that rule you it doesnt matter if you touch the puck first( iknow this because the same thing happened to the caps during the season). I dont care if the caps got off before THEY WERE LOSING! the pens have had a destinct advantage in powerplays none the less. Im sick of us losing off of lucky bounces and missed calls. Its really hard to be a caps fan now
Just watched it again to be clear, that was surely interference
I just want somebody to see it from my perspective here. Sure there were non-calls but you look at the overwhelming advantage the pens have in powerplays throught the series. There were penalties the pens were commiting that weren't getting called thats the whole ponit about how they have the advantage. In overtime, the refs shouldn't be selective on what the call the call on juice ye that a trip but if you call that you gotta call the interference that led to the odd man break and the goal. Im not gonna keep arguing about this because Im really depressed about this damn game why couldnt steck have shot a second sooner?
Its hard to stop whining when im depressed its a freaking roller coaster ride ups and downs. Right now the caps are all I got and if they go down i dont know, i got nothing to com home to

All of the non calls for both sides pretty much balanced out. Poetic justice having Malkin knock one off of a D man into the net
A gift from Geno to Sarge

Yeah, and did you catch Brian Engblom stating about Crosby ".....he's doing what Sidney Crosby does, diving into the play....."?
This is a riveting series. Even as a fan of a Pens division rival, they are playing very exciting hockey. And that Ovechkin is growing on me. I like his attitude.

The games are going back and forth

Yeah, I seen that what should be an interference call. But I guess stuff like that happens. The NHL should be happy anyways, seeing that their golden boy is winning.

Yet when Ovie slew-foots Malkin at the end of the period, no one cries foul? Give me a break..

Let's go Pens!!! Sid the Kid BAby!

There were plenty of non-calls in this game, so the refs made the right call there. Too bad, so sad.
