How good of a university of san diego state university?

San Diego State University holds a reputation for being a party school; however, it's the number 1 research school out of the california state universities. Like the comment before me, it really depends on your major. Compared to the UC system, SDSU is not really so impressive, but compared to the cal states...it's probably the top 4 (long beach, SLO, SFSU)

I think UCSD, in general, is better when it comes to academics. However like everybody said, it still depends on your major. My teacher told our class that SDSU is a very good school as well, and they're also very competitive and selective. It's probably the top Cal Stae University.
