Spirtually speaking have you noticed that pro "lifers" tend not to care about the child after it is born?

If they wanted abortions to stop, how about you give mothers who would not be able to care for the child a little support. Or how about medical reserch so we can cure the disorders that would kill the child or the mother.

You mean like financial support, as in putting their money where the mouth is?

People who only care about "life" before it is born should be called pro-fetus.

Yes, I am a pro-lifer that is all about the end of pregnancy and the life of the mother and the child. Birth rights. Lactivism. More regulation on adoption -- making it easier and more available to everyone in the USA -- not just the wealthy. More medical care and help/support for unwed mothers. There are tons of people working to end abortion -- but what of the babies born? Does nobody care?

So, yes, I've noticed and it saddens me. "Don't abort your baby -- but don't ask me to help you raise him/her either!" ARgghhh! Frustrating!

That is a lie. I volunteer for a CPC, and we continue to care for the mother and her baby not only during pregnancy but long after it's born. We provide free maternity clothes for the mother; baby clothes; diapers, baby food, and community resources. The mothers will often come back to us even when the child is several years old.

We don't mind medical research as long as it doesn't kill another human being in the process. Why is one person's life more valuable than another's? Two wrongs don't make a right.

I once saw a cartoon in a newspaper. It was two panels. The first panel showed an obviously pregnant woman with men on their knees surrounding her saying "Miracle of Life!" The next panel showed that same woman with two small children clinging to her legs and the men standing (this time) around her pointing fingers at her and saying "Sniveling little welfare cheats!"

And if every single person who is actively against abortion would agree to adopt one child, wouldn't there be many less abortions and isn't that what we are aiming for?

Yes yes i have noticed. And for all general purposes, generally a child should be more grateful and feel more loved by a mother who is pro-choice and had the child out of love, over a mother who is pro-life and felt forced to have the child for moral reasons. Certainly there are pro-life mothers that love their child though so i guess you can't totally generalize.

Oh, dude, this is not even half of it. Feast your eyes on this, and my oh my, aren´t THEY special?

Queen Kira, while I commend you, I have to ask you whether you condemn abortion regardless of when it is performed or why? By this I mean, do you consider a first-trimester abortion as immoral as a late-term one? Or if the girl was raped, which does happen sometimes?

When does a fertilized ovum become a human being? At what point?

They also don't care about reducing the need for abortions. All it would take to chop the number of abortions in half is to have open and honest sex education and free distribution of contraceptives. There is no way they would agree to that though.

Very well said. Those same folks who are Oh So Conmcerned about the "rights" of a fetus are the same ones that vote to reduce welfare aid and medicaid to poor families, and who happily vote to cut food stamp programs.

    Let's see...

Child support, healthcare, after school programmes, foster and child services, education programmes, affordable college tuition, ensuring young men do not die needlessly in war.....AHHHHH!

It's easier to care for foetuses. No personal responsibility involved.
