do you now appreciate Obama or?

I'm just trying to figure him out. He's well educated, came from a well to do family of privilege and taught constitutional law. So why on earth would he announce as he was boarding the train to go to the inauguration that it's time to rewrite the Declaration of Independence? At the time it was written, America was financially supporting England. Jefferson and the boys were announcing that because they had money, they were no longer willing to be enslaved to the crown of England. It was in fact, a declaration of war.

So, he pulled (as a freshman) last year, an amazing $2.93 million. On whom is he declaring war? That kind of money makes him one of the upper crust with money. The rest of us are dependent upon the government. Making us England.

And, if you read into the Declaration of Independence a little and understand the economy of the period, you would quickly see that social programs such as Universal Health Care go exactly contrary to what Jefferson and the boys had in mind... Still, here he is. A "learned" man on the subject, going exactly opposite the founding principles that made this nation so great.

So, as one who spent the better portion of my life in the service of this country, he ranks less than a peer to me and you will just have to forgive me when I critique him harshly. And, having been sworn to uphold and defend the Constitution of these United States against all enemies, both foreign and domestic. His actions and words make him, you guessed it, the enemy. And those who voted for and believe in what he's doing as good, gullible, less than educated fools.

The majority of the people you're asking are people that intentionally sit on Yahoo Answers all day long to either praise or criticize Obama. People that dedicate so much time to their cause will not change their opinion so easily.

I will NEVER have an appreciation or respect for Barack Hussein Obama.

He ranks down there with Satan, Hitler, Castro Saddam Hussein, Hugo Chavez and other evil people in history.

A person can’t truly love America and Obama too, for to truly love one is to truly hate the other.

May God protect the American People and the Free World from the Democrat Party and Barack Hussein Obama.

He still hasn't done anything worthy of appreciation.

Pretty much the only two things he's done is spend record levels of money and dissed our nation publicly while abroad.

UPDATE: I'm revising this. He lifted some restrictions on Cuba, which I've been calling for. He gets credit for this, but it's not like it was a big problem

Criticize (if it has to be all or nothing with you).

It's hard to appreciate someone with good intentions but you can clearly see is destroying the country from the inside out.

Are you kidding? Highest national debt ever... highest unemployment since world war two. social programs shot..war is increasing not decreasing.. remember him saying how he would not raise tases? Remember him saying he would bring our troops home?

And countless other things...the little, the very little he has done.. nothing compared to what we need.. and what he promised.. Did he Lie?

There is nothing to appreciate about Obama. He is a liar, he is not an American citizen, and he is determined to destroy this country.

I don't bow down to the golden boy that is barack.

Nothing he has done so far or will do while he is in office will EVER benefit this country.

He got a dog. Now, in all honesty, tell me one other positive thing he has accomplished that affects you directly in any way. Just one thing. That's all, just one.

I don't criticize him personally, I criticize his out of control spending (just like I criticized the Bush administration for the same behavior). You can't spend your way out of bankruptcy.
