Does everyone kiss...?
Do people of all nationalities, races, tribes etc. kiss? Is kissing a cultural thing we pick up from our society, or is the desire to kiss something that's instinctive, that we're born with?

it doesnt have much to do with us being born with it.... its just that we see it... if u were americna living in a different part of the world you wouldnt kiss.... here are some places i know:
France:kiss on the cheek in public, only on the lips when noone is looking.
italy:kiss on the forehead, sex very formal... more like a desire to have kids than the pleasure... no lip kissing at all
african tribes:mostly they only kiss during rituals and other very special events, and they will kiss everyone on the lips and not really care
bangladesh:do not practise kissing at all
several middle eastern areas:considered a crime and punishable by death. Sex is meant to be a chore here.... sex will be monitered and if the girl even moans she will be harmed
eskimo lifestyle:i always thought that an eskimo kiss is just a joke for america, but its not... they actually kiss by rubbing their noses together so that their lips do not freeze to one another
hope thats helpful for you.... there are many more tradition in different parts but thats all i know off hand

I don't think so. Different people believe different things and they believe that kissing is a curse. Us christians on the other hand, do kiss.
Greek Orthodox kiss strangers on Easter when on midnight, the priest takes them outside and the kiss anybody, Man or women.

Im not actually quite sure of that. One thing I know thats interesting is that the Eskimos kiss by rubbing their noses together, how sweet!
I think it really does depend on culture though.

The only people i kiss are my kids and my bf. My family and i aren't really big on hugs and kisses. However since my bf is mexican his family believes in nothing but hugging and kissing so im kinda forced to when we go to family gatherings on his side.

I know when I discovered kissing, that's all I wanted to do and still do..ha ha ha...I don't know if all tribes and cultures do..I know eskimos just nuzzle their noses, and it's considered a kiss.

I think it's cultural. When first discovered, Eskimos didn't kiss. I'm guessing ideas about oral hygiene are very relevant.

It's probably a left over from evolution. Even animals show affection using their mouths.
