For those who know Apple computers?

Do you know if Mac Pro (not Macbook Pro) has power saving features similar to the ones in Windows-based computers where the hard disks turn off automatically after a certain period of not being used, activation of hybernation mode, & stadnby, etc...

Also, if I get Mac Pro with RAM that runs at a certain frequency, and would like to upgrade it in a few years with RAM that works at a higher frequency and has more capacity, will the Mac Pro support it?

Update:

Thank you for answering

Yes the power saving feature is part of MAC OS X.

As for the RAM, it should still be compatible.
