Is 1200 calories a day not enough? I am trying to lose weight.?
I wanted to lose weight fast- like 10 pounds by July. 1,200 calories a day would make me lose weight, but is that unhealthy?

I would actually recommend to consume a little bit more calories than just 1200. That seems like too little. You have over a month to lose 10 pounds, which isn't a lot if you're looking to lose unwanted weight.
I would recommend that (if you're not that overweight) to just be a little more active (exercise, play sports, etc., [even walking more]) and do NOT eat fast food or drink soft drinks (or at least limit it A LOT)...
Trust me, that can do a lot for you... just not eating fast food.

According to the american heart association for women to lose weight they should stay between 1200 and 1600 calories per day. I also saw on a show today that to lose weight, take your ideal or goal weight and multiply it by 10, and that is the amount of calories you need to lose weight.

it depends a lot on your height and how much you exercise a day. 1200 calories isn't so low that you will harm your body but rather than cut a lot of calories you should focus on eating healthy foods and exercising to lose weight.

actually your right on the money...1200 is the bare minimum intake for a female to lose weigh, i suggest shooting for 13-1400 a day and you'll get the results you desire...stay away from saturated and trans fats

that's perfect you could go lower if you wanted to loose weight faster but remember 800 is a starvation diet

I think 1,500 Calories per day is the recomended amount for females.
