Another inconsistent triad?

Christianity and probably Islam and Judaism propose that:

1. God created man

2. Man is flawed

3. Man's flaw's are man's fault

Why does God blame man for man's flaws when God made man flawed?

That has never made any sense to me.

One of the big reasons I stopped believing

1 has never been verified, so you could just stop there ;)

  • I applaud you for your choice to leave Christianity, that's a good decision. You can't find logic in the Abrahamic religions. Christianity DOES in fact teach that man is flawed and sinful (Unfinished= "God" didn't do a great job). Christianity (And the bible, especially in the NT) DOES teach that god created man with a nature that leans towards the so-called "sin". And if we do it "god" will punish us. It teaches that Adam made a mistake and his "sons and daughters" have to suffer the consequences. And if those sons and daughters made a mistake they're either doomed to eternal hell (Which is what the bible teaches and believed by Christians who follow the bible to the last word) or that it is eternal death and you don't get to go to heaven (Believed by more friendly Christians, who want to better the tainted image of Christianity) (In both cases, it is just messed up) Sick eh?

God blames man b/c he gave man the choice and they made the wrong choice. He never made us sin, he only gave us the choice. He did this out of mercy b/c many ppl don want 2 choose God so it would b unfair 4 God 2 force ppl 2 obey and follow him. So he gave us the choice. So it doesn't matter if God gave us the ability 2 sin, we r the ones that sinned. We were made innocent, but corrupteted ourselves when we sinned. But God, out of his mercy and grace, gave us a way 2 b justified for our sins. Since ppl were made sinners by the work of another man(Adam), ppl can b made righteous by the works of another man(Jesus), so God came down as a man and endured out punishment for us so that we don't have 2. Basically God created us with the ability 2 choose sin or righteousness. We sinned, so God came and took our punishment so we could be saved from our choice.

So man is flawed not b/c God made them flawed, but b/c man chose 2 sin. Next time u sin think about this "did God make me sin?" Of course he didn't so ur flaw is your fault b/c u chose 2 sin.

ps. yes we were made sinners by Adam which is y death has power over us from the moment were concieved, however, from the 1st time u sinned u choose 2 b represented by Adam. But when we choose 2 b represented by Jesus we r made righteous b/c of his sacrifice.

No, Christianity doesn't propose that. It isn't Biblical.

Calvinists, and by extension, most evangelical and fundamentalist churches propose that, but it isn't a Christian precept.

The Catholic Church, for example, teaches that we are made in God's image, and therefore good. We make choices that aren't always good, but that doesn't mean that we ourselves are bad.

"Flawed" is another word for "unfinished." There is nothing inherently bad about being unfinished, since it calls us to grow in love all our lives.

God made us perfect and also gave us free will. If you consider your free will to be a flaw then so be it. And God doesn't blame us. We blame us. We decide and end up making good or bad decisions. God doesn't want a robot.

    You make no sense.

    Hi,

man was given the capacity to be Mother Theresa, or Hitler, it is up to us to choose.

It goes this way, them, them, them,

or as agent smith so aptly put it

    ME ME ME

So choose, ...I hear a homeless shelter calling, cause if you ain't doing anything to prove the churchers way is wrong, then your just proving them right

    God made everything perfect Geneses 2:15 Satan came into the picture and caused all the problems.(Hebrews 2:14) Therefore, since the “young children” are sharers of blood and flesh, he also similarly partook of the same things, that through his death he might bring to nothing the one having the means to cause death, that is, the Devil;

No. He made man to have free will. When Adam and Eve choose to sin, they were then flawed. Because they abussed the free will that God gave them to do evil.

You forgot about the point where man created his own fault. to quote Led zepplin or blind Willie Johnson "It's nobody's fault but mine."

It's like building a house and then blaming the house when it collapses.

Oh great, he we go with the "free will" argument...
