1.) Is Sims 3 really going to be available for the Mac?

Yes both Windows and Mac will versions will come out at the same time, which is June 2, 2009.

2.) What is the difference between the regular version and the extended version of Sims #?

You get a CD featuring how it was made, and some hairstyles, outfits, objects, and cars that aren't in the orginal Sims 3, except in the Collector's Edition of The Sims 3.

The Sims 1, is the orginal one. The Sims 2, is the expansion to the orginal Sims game.

The Sims 3 is the expansion and much better version of the Sims 2. I would deffinitley get the Sims 3, over the other 2 versions.

3.) What is is Sims really about?

Sims is a game of life.

4.) What do you do in the game?

Make a sim or sims. Move him/her/them into a house. You can build your house.

Then they are like us. They age and grow old. They can interact with sims around them. You can decide how they will play in their life.

They can make babies, make friends and enemies, they can have jobs and go to school, cook, dance, watch tv, play on the computer, study, read books, shopping, relaxing, etc.

5.) What are the main objectives?

You choose how they live and what they'll be :)

The Sims 3 is basically like playing a dolls, except you get to control everything that happens in the Sims community, you control their lives.

If your into simulation games, I would deffinitley get The Sims 3. If your into archeticting, I would deffinetley get the Sims 3. If your artsitic and into fashion and decorating, I would deffintiely get The Sims 3. If your into role playing, I would get The Sims 3 :)

I have been playing the Sims, since the orginal version. I was in like the 4th grade at the time, so I was like 10 years old lol. Now I'm about to go to college this fall, hopefully :). And I'm still loving the Sims.

Most of my friends play as well.

    You should get The Sims 3 :) . I know I will deffinitley get it~!!!!! ^^'

Source(s): I have been playing since the orginal sims came out lol :) I am a Sims fan~~^^'

    1. The Sims 3 will be available for both Mac and PC, you just have to make sure you are buying the correct version. (It will usually say on the box)

    2. The difference between the Sims, Sims 2, and Sims 3 is the game play is improved in each version. For example, better AI, better graphics, more options, etc.

    3. The Sims is basically a Life Simulator, you start a family, buy a house, choose a job, etc.

    4. You take care of your Sim. You do things mentioned in answer 3 and other things like make him study, work out, cook food, sleep, shower, etc.

    5. Whatever you want them to be. Get an awesome house, have a family, get an awesome job, anything life related.

I don't know if sims is going to be available for Mac...

From what I can see with the collectors version (extended version) you get:

Exclusive 2 GB Plumbob USB drive and Carabiner

    Exclusive European Sports Car Download

New The Sims 3 theme music

    Prima Tips & Hints Guide

$10 in SimPoints to shop at The Sims 3 Store

All of the sims games are basically about creating a sim (person) and living live. You build a house, get married, have kids, get a job... Your main objectives are just to live life and have fun playing the game.

I don't know about the Mac thing.

The difference between the regular version and extended versions are just different games for the original Sims. Okay this is confusing, lemme explain. If you have Sims 2, and then go out and buy an extended version of Sims 2, then you can play that game after installing. You have to have the regular version installed for it to work. :]

Sims is just about life. Family's, relationships, having to pay for stuff, taking care of young ones, shopping. :] Everything one has to go through living life. They are just like normal people.

The objectives.. there really are none. You just have to give each Sim what they want in life, and let them grow to be old.

Hope I helped, did the best I could.

Yes Sims 3 is available for Mac, it says on their site. The extended version contains a hints guide, a 2 GB USB drive and it allows you to get European sports cars in the game. In the Sims 3, you can build mansions, create people and play with them as if you were in real life. In the game, you have to create your own family and decide weather or not to fulfil their wishes. It;s like in real life, your sims can have babies, fight each other, die of hunger, have relationships with other sims, etc. There isn't really an end since some of your sims make babies and others die. I think it's a really fun game!

    1. Yes

    2. I don't know

3-4. It is basically about creating a bunch of people called Sims and letting them live the life you want. You can let them have fun, meet with neighbours, get careers, etc.

    5. The game is open play so it's up to you.

Yes, it will definately be available for Mac.

I haven't heard of an extended version. Are you talking about expansion packs? They just add in new things to the game, such as places, objects, clothes, interactions, etc.

The Sims and The Sims 2 are about focusing on a single family (at a time, not forever), keeping them alive and happy and playing out their lives. You make a family, you control every aspect of their lives - take care of their needs (hunger, energy, bladder, social, hygiene, fun) and wants (wishes which make them happier) make friends, get a job, learn skills, and also build and decorate houses. A lot of people like to "roleplay" with sims, and make a story of their lives. The Sims 3 is going to be more about the social aspects, I think, as the needs have been made less important.

You make your own objectives. You can choose to aim for the top of their career, fall in love, become rich, raise children, even just "woohoo" with as many sims as possible.

In The Sims 2 there are " lifetime aspirations" you give to your sims. Fortune (their "wants" include making a lot of money, buy a lot of things, get high-paying jobs) , Family (fall in love, get married, raise children), Romance (have many loves, "make out" and "woohoo", don't like to get married or engaged, or have children) Knowledge (learn skills, meet aliens, strange things like that) Popularity (make lots of friends, become famous). The expansions add more lifetime aspirations.

In The Sims 3, from what I've read, you will be able to choose a lifetime want based on your sim's personality. They will also get wants (called dreams or wishes in 3, I think) which you can choose to fulfil, but there is no penalty if you don't, unlike 2, where their aspiration bar will go down and eventually they will become depressed.

It's playing God in your own virtual community, and making a story out of it. There are so many stories that you can play out that I've been playing pretty much every other day for about two years, and I'm still not bored of it.

Source(s): Huge fan of The Sims 2, and have preordered 3. Definitely worth a go. http://sims.wikia.com/wiki/The_Sims_Wiki This site has a lot of in-depth info about all of The Sims games.

yeah its gonna be available for mac...i think

well Sims 1 is just like 2Dish u could say

but once u go to Sims 2 the world goes into more 3D like you could literally look at your sims from the top and not right in the front.

Sims is just to make your own family and either make their lives great and meet their aspirations before they grow old or destroy their lives lol you get to customize your own ppl and do whatever you want with them and their homes. it's not a big deal but it can get addictive just because its fun it's wat u r doing with them. and yes they can die and the grim reaper comes lol i love that along with the fact they can become ghosts and haunt ur sims. :)

when you get Sims 2 you get aspirations and u gotta meet them like a baby wants to learn how to talk and walk and then they grow to toddlers and then teens, adults and then old. they gotta learn how to gain their skills like creativity and logic or cooking. it's really fun. u just discover new things like everytime. and not to mention that they can also have sex but its called "Woohoo" lol its just funny and amusing

    Source(s): I have Sims games :)

I don't think created sims' families are allowed to interact with eachother. I have no idea why, but it's just a stupid thing that Maxis decided to invent for the game.
