You can probably get an excellent deal on a brand new Caravan right now. Especially if you go to one of the 700 dealers that will be closing next month.
I would also check out the VW Routan van. It is the same vehicle as a Caravan but with better interior and suspension (and better customer service). They haven't sold very well so VW is marking them way down.
The used Odyssey is a good van but for the same price I'd rather buy brand new.

IF it was anything other than the caravan Id say Honda, however the caravan is the Best thing Dodge makes. You'll love it, the honda is great, it'll run forever but so will your lawn mower. The Dodge should come with a government backed warranty so don't panic when you here BK.. I believe now is the best time ever to buy American ( as long as its a quality vehicle) and all though I am NOT a dodge fan I must admit, the caravan is a great Van. Good Luck... Invest in America, When we get it right! reward it!

The Honda without any reservations is the better minivan. The new Caravans are horrible. They have terrible reliability (already!), and has actually regressed from the previous generation. They also lose their value at an unbelievable clip. Hondas set the industry standard for reliability, depreciation, comfort/convenience, performance, and owner satisfaction.

Honda Odyssey, it will last you forever. Honda is the second of the most reliable cars right after Toyota.

Personally, I prefer Japanese cars to American cars. But I'd say go with what you know best. If you have driven plenty of American cars and are satisfied with them, go with the Dodge. If you've driven a lot of Japanese cars and are satisfied, go that route.
