Are you aware of evil eyes?

Do you fear, that you will receive them?

I ask this, because i read sometimes so much personal information, that i always ask myself, do they don't know, with posting this on the internet, that how many evil things they can earn with it?

Like if one woman thinks she is pregnant, post her thought on the internet, she is clearly to receive only good answers, like congrats, insha Allaah ghair, may Allaah bless you, and the look-a-like answers...

Duhhh, who would post his/her frustration as a answer? So many women are trying to get pregnant, let aside to get married, how many would die for all that??

Maybe it is for you, "too-far-of-my-bed-show", but posting on the internet, brings your world everywhere to be able to read it... So you bring their world into your world...

You can think, ow they life there and i am here, they don't know in real life, what for damage could they ever do to me??

Haven't you heard of the work of djinn? How strong they are?

If a dua' can reach you through angels, a evil eye can reach you through djinn...

Than i haven't talked about the women (and men!) that practises Sihr...

We as muslims, shouldn't brag and talk all things what is our personal life on the internet, simply there are women and men who have it worse than you, and would do anything to even harm you (so you will be in the same position as they are) or leave you alone..

THE FEELING, that "i should wish for you what i wish for myself" is maybe easy to express on the internet, but in real life, i see (at least) that almost no one can continue this to express in real life... We can all (okay not all) say ow masha Allaah in your face, but behinf your back, they can do everything...

Express everything which concerns your personal life and dunya (as Rizq) not so easy on the Internet... Who follows the rulings, creates a atmosphere where in s/he is protected agianst a lot of harm...

Good news, should be spread but afterwards (i.e. waleemah, aqeeqah) and the wise thinks first before s/he tells it someone, let aside telling it on the Internet....

If you would know, my situation, i have nothing to complain, but i am still able to give evil eyes, simply i want that what the other also has... Ya Allaah, i don't know what to say... But i know, i am not the only one, we all give each other evil eyes, unaware or being aware of it..

Simply Allaah alone knows what is in our hearts....

Update:

I forgot to say: Alhamdulillaah..

Update 2:

If i write down for everyone,

"my daughter can recite one ayaa"

One person on this earth can read this...

If this person feels jealous of this, because a) he is not married

b) he is married, but unable to receive children

c) they has also a child, but only looks at Pokemon or whatever, and hasn't got a interest in Islaam...

d) their child is unable to speak arabic in normal life (like how are you?) let aside ayaat from the kitaab.. (simply Arabic isn't their motherlanguage)

e) ......

f).......

And so i can conitnue a list...

This person can say into my face, Masha Allaah, may Allaah .... you.

Or he says that after the reminder of you...

But he goes home, thinks argggg why she can have that but i don't, why has Allaah writen that for me? And all other waswaas from shaytaan, to make hate in the ummah, between the muslims.

This feeling, can cause that my daughter loses her concern in the Kitaab, she will be unable to recite the ayaa as before this has happend...

Update 3:

This person has made the cause of what Allaah has written..

Most people look only at the result and not what i have done to learn her this ayaa...

Update 4:

I was waiting in a room with my bag,

in the room, this lady looked at my bag and i saw those eyes looking through my bag, not just at. This eyes, arggg hoping that i am not to be able to walk with this bag agian.. "I haven't, you have also no right to have this bag",-feeling, you should also feel poor, like i do... Beause the shaytaan tells her, owww that is a bag of ... and costs about $ ...., ow her husband has brought that for her.

While i have this bag a few years before i entered into Islaam and earned this bag, with hard work 8000 lipsticks in one hour with a machine providing a sticker of the colour....

But as soon as i stood outside, the handle broke... What has happend if i posted on the internet, "i have this bag".... ?

Update 5:

DARK Thunder: Thanks, Alhamdulillaah i have my cause for protection (adkhaar) done and shall do ruqiyah for myself, insha Allaah.

WONDERFUL advice mashallah!!!!! I hope ppl take this into account...inshallah

    w/salam

edit to HC : no she isn't. we can get evil eyes in many ways. just by someone saying "mashallah" just cos u type it, that doesn't necessarily u mean it. Subhnallah, we get many evil ppl out there, and you know they will do anything, cos they are evil. So they could go to a "magician" or "witch" and they will actually do that. Subhnallah it's scary how evil ppl can get and what they will do! Her posting online make ppl AWARE of it, just like if someone posted online "beware of the storm that's ahead of us"....

alhamduallah sister Sarah, jazakhallah khair for posting this up.

I loved your post, you're very right.. I used to do that but then thought i shouldn't because there are people that are yearning for what i may have and even if they don't mean any harm it's still them wanting what i have just will ruin it..It's not good to share good news with strangers out in the open like that, it can harm us and most of us won't even know it. Thank you, i reeally found your post interesting :)

I guess well put...just most people associate "evil eye" with a....power.

Its not simply jealousy and envy...but a misfortune that also befalls on the person because of jealousy and envy.

Some people will say oh he got sick because of evil eye....or he broke his leg cuz of evil eye...lost a child.

That doesn't exist.....actually our last khutbah was about how believing in evil eye is shirk.

    ***

If a man who shows off his wealth gets robbed...some may say thats evil eye.....but thats not the "evil eye" i'm talking about....

if that wealthy man gets ill......thats the evil eye that doesn't exist......the envy of others does not make him sick.....if anything...thats allah punishing him for his pride and arrogance.

I'm simply talking about the ailments that come from no other action, but feeling envious of the person.....

  • Salaam 'alaikum sister

Yes the evil eyes exists [Qur'an surahs 113, 114] but nothing can happen to one without Allah subhana wa ta'ala's permission.

But of course we should try to take precautions. But we should not get paranoid either as we may then fall into thinking bad suspicious thoughts about our fellow brothers and sisters in the deen, and that could be just as bad as the envious or evil eye with bad intent. Allahu 'alim. Worse, we could end up committing shirk.

"While as for those who walk aright, He addeth to their guidance, and giveth them their protection (against evil)." [Qur'an 47:17]

"If Allah touch thee with affliction, none can remove it but He; if He touch thee with happiness, He hath power over all things. "He is the irresistible, (watching) from above over His worshippers; and He is the Wise, acquainted with all things." [Qur'an 6:17-18]

    Wasalam.

you know my skin peeled off frm that

i mean literally peeled off but thanks to Allah it

    grew back again.

i had trouble eating. it continued for weeks

and i missed alot of school.

it looked lyk i had been in a terrible burning accident

another was when my eyes got so swollen

cuz ppl were always complimenting them and one

time had eyeliner (hated wearin that as a kid)

anyway some woman goes wow your eyes

look beautiful and there was no mashallah.

i could go on man...that's one reason why i hate compliments

cuz sumtyms they r just evil, pure evil

So, you're saying that if someone posts things on the internet, jinn can use that posting to channel evil to them to do...what? What malign influence are these jinn acting as mediums for? How does your posting online allow them to do any more than they could earlier?

  • Yes, the evil eye is real.

    ....How backward is our "ummah"?

you actually believe in "the eye" I find it shocking that people here, in a muslim country, are more open minding and educated then people who live abroad, and had much better educations than the people here.

    Shocking.
