Gene Simmons says Lambert is not Rock?

I completely agree, and have been saying that all season!!!!! BTW, when is Gene Simmons wrong?

You'll note that when Slash was on the show, he commented that rock was a lifestyle or an attitude. Slash made note of the true rocker in Allison, but stayed far away from making a similar comment about Adam.

Adam is not a rocker. He has the voice for it, but not the heart. Whatever rock stuff he has done, is mostly a good acting job...Really, can we cast him on Broadway in "Tommy", or even "Joseph and the Technicolor Dreamcoat"?

He has a good voice, no question. He's a great performer, no question. There's also no question that he is entirely NOT a rocker!

Going on tour with KISS does not mean singing in the band. I believe the suggestion was made that Adam's band could open for KISS.

First of all Gene Simmons is not a rock god..He just thinks he is.

Second of all Adam Lambert is not within a million miles of being a real rock singer;

I thought the only reason in hell that KISS would ever go on American Idol would be to perform with Adam, so if Gene feels this way,why do the duet? Shameless self promotion? I'm confused. Anyway,though,I do think Adam fit much better with Queen than KISS because they're more theatrical. I think Adam is a Rock Star; just a different kind of Rock Star. Like my idea of Metal is Cradle of Filth, but my boyfriend's is old Metallica and Pantera. There's all different genres of Rock/Metal. But Queen,Meatloaf and Mercyful Fate/King Diamond have done very well in Theatrical Rock/Metal and I think Adam could too. I personally prefer the more theatrical side of Rock/Metal, but I guess everyone has their own taste/opinion.

PS I guess it's possible that Gene could've been saving face for performing on American Idol to get his credibility back. It would kind of suck if he went on the show to perform with someone and then turned around and dissed him to make himself look better, but he does have a reputation to protect and all. But then again, I never really pay much attention to Votefortheworst,anyway. But if Gene,in fact said that, I guess he's entitled to his opinion, but it doesn't mean that everyone else has to agree.

It's interesting that Gene Simmons would say that given that he said that Adam could tour with them. Maybe he's looking for a different twist on the band. Who knows.

I agree with Gene. Adam's voice isn't rock-too high pitch at times. Allison's raspy voice is more rock than Adam's is.

Honestly. Yeah. I mean, if you ask me, I think he's better at musical stuff.. because he has that kind of voice. But he still good at rock stuff, but I just think he's better at musical stuff.
