I was recently just diagnosed with epilepsy after my first seizure a couple of weeks ago, and an abnormal EEG...

I've read everything on line about it, and I've spoken to my neuro about it...

But, I wanted to hear from people who have it, or live with people who have it...Are there things that I should stay away from...I know no driving long periods of time and enough sleep...are there specific things that you find triggers a seizure? What should I avoid doing?

I don't know how to tell if last night I either had a seizure or I just passed out. I do know that this has never happened to me before.

I was getting up from a chair and as I got up, I got extremely dizzy and my vision was unfocused. I was holding something in both hands (a lighter and a drink).

As I felt myself get dizzy, I sat back on the chair. My boyfriend was home with me and all of a sudden he goes "what's the matter? what's the matter?" Well, my eyes were rolling in the back of my head, I dropped whatever I was holding and, my head and neck (as he puts it) were jerking back and forth. I was aware he was asking me what was happening, but all I could say was "what" over and over again.

As I started to come out of it, I remember everything from it. I remember shaking my head, and my eyes going crazy, and I heard my bf talk to me.

It has happened in the past that I get light headed when I stand up to quick (i have anemia) but this has never happened. I usually feel better within seconds. I also use to pass out when I was younger from the anemia, and it had never happened like this.

Also, I guess I should mention that in 2007 I was diagnosed with Pseudotumor cerebri (Idiopathic intracranial hypertension), but I guess you can say it has been sort of "dormant" for almost 2 yrs, I haven't been on any meds for it in 2 yrs, and I haven't had major headaches related to it.

So...did I pass out or did I have a seizure? Should I call my neurologist or just my PCP?

We've had this plant for a couple of months. It was doing REALLY well when we first bought it. The nursery we purchased it from said we wouldn't need to re-pot it for another year, since they had just done it.

Well, recently the leaves started turning brown, drying off and then falling.

We read online to water it twice a week and that's what we've been doing. My mom stayed with us for a little over a week a while back and I'm thinking she may have over watered it.

Is there anything we can do to save it?

I have a pony tail palm (which i know it's not actually a palm) and another palm, both indoor plants. The tips of the leaves are starting to turn brown and ascend up, towards the top. I am not sure on what is causing the issues.

Any suggestions/help is greatly appreciated

We just purchased (for the 1st time) a raspberry plant. It came in one of those plastic containers and part of the trunk is coming out.

Well, we read the directions on the box, and it says to soak it over night before planting it, but we noticed it already has some green leaves at the very bottom. Do we still have to soak it? Also, we noticed that the trunk is snapped. It still stands, but it ripped.

We saw this plant @ Home Depot today and it didn't have a tag with the type of plant it is. We asked someone but when they looked it up, nothing came up. We bought it either way...we are just not sure what type of plant it is, and how to take care if it.

Hi everyone...

Last night walking back from the store i saw something i've only before seen in ASPCA commercials. This poor dog, i think he is a pitbull, not sure, but he's defiantly some kind of terrier, was so skinny, you can count the ribs on this poor fellow!

This house is @ the corner of my block, and i walk passed it everyday on my way to and from work, and i always hear a dog barking, but never seen any. This little guy was NOT the dog that was barking, that dog was still locked up in the back. This little guy was just walking after us in the yard. I wanted to just steal him out of there. He had outside just a bowl with water and a pillow.

I know for a fact the ASPCA was called before and they came to investigate and said, that YES the dogs are skinny, but not skinny enough where they can do anything about it. Do i call a local shelter (which i know of) or do i call the ASPCA again. I don't want therm to put this poor animal down.. I've never had to do anything like this before.

I like in Queens NY...if anyone can direct me in the right direction on the right authority to call...your help will be greatly appreciated!

Not sure if this has happened to everyone, but 1 vs 100 is gone from our game market place on the dashboard

Last time we played was Sunday night. Went to play Monday and it wasn't there. We rebooted to Xbox, and nothing. Nothing last night as well.

I should mention that we got a new xbox (old one was doomed with RROD). But last time we played on Sunday it was on the new xbox.

Hi...not sure if it's just me, or an on-going issue with all yahoo members. There are the issues i'm having:

-Some emails are either not received or delayed to people i email

-Same with emails i am received, very delayed responses

-People i've been emailing claim there is no attachment to the email, even though i know i've attached a document

The biggest issue is with people not receiving the emails i send. Is anyone else with an yahoo email account experiencing the same issues? Should i contact yahoo? If so...how? Thanks

Ok...so i'm new to GH, but in the very short time i've had it, i've become addicted! We have the guitar, but to my understanding, we can use the regular xbox remote with a mic, as a microphone. I have not dared to sing yet, since i'm REALLY bad @ holding a note. I'm so bad @ singing, my cat even runs away LOL

Well...tonight hubby will be out for a few hours, and i will like to try doing a microphone Challenge. I don't want to break my xbox...LOL. Do you HAVE to have a decent voice to sing, or do you just have to hit the notes as they come...like with the guitar?

I know it was one of The Beatles that sang the song...i would say mid 80's. I just remember parts of the video...a young boy was trying to get a ballerina out of those quarter machines and he kept missing her, and then, i think he somehow got trapped in the machine as well.

So...we'll be flying to Orlando, FL on the 20th of this month for a wedding. I've been checking the weather constantly, and it's been FREEZING!

What are the chances it will get nicer by the 20th? And what's weather typically like in January in Orlando? Do i DARE ask if it's pool weather ever?

I work in a cardiac facility/nuclear diagnostic office. We were under the impression that medical records, BY LAW, have to be kept for 7 yrs, after which they can be destroyed.

I've been doing some on line research on ICANL (which we are an ICANL accredited lab) and i read that it may only be 5 years (which would be great, bc we can get rid of ALOT of paperwork).

Where would i find it or where should i research how long must studies be available in an accredited lab (Nuclear, Vascular and Echocardiography)?

I have never eaten @ this place, but someone i know that has eaten there in the past saw something very disturbing today!!!!

He saw a dead puppy right @ the back door of their kitchen (he just happened to walk buy).

I am very disturbed by this! The dog might have nothing to do with the food that its eaten there, but it's still very upsetting.

Who do i call? The restaurant is in Queens NY. Do i call the board of health or 311??

A little beer was spilled on couch. I took the covers off when it happened and wiped it with a damp cloth. I was supposed to wash them today, but i am unable to get to a washing machine on time. I need to wash them tonight, so then can be dried by tomorrow night, i am having guests!

Anyway...can i wash them by hand and let them air dry until tomorrow?

We are trying to figure out if the battery to the alarm system in our apt. is still working. It's a 12 volt battery and it's a big black box...that's all i know...sorry :(

Or...is there a way to test if the battery is still working, but maybe just needs to be charged?
