Palm leaves are turning brown! Help?

I have a pony tail palm (which i know it's not actually a palm) and another palm, both indoor plants. The tips of the leaves are starting to turn brown and ascend up, towards the top. I am not sure on what is causing the issues.

Any suggestions/help is greatly appreciated

Some yellowing of the tips is normal for Pony Tail Palms. You can reduce severe yellowing by adding a nitrogen-rich fertilizer to your soil or pot, and give them more sunlight. These in combination, along with just enough water to keep the soil slightly damp, will help the plant increase the production of chlorophyll (the green stuff in plants).

It could be a number of things, but the most common I think is over watering. I used to over water a plant like that (before learning better) and it had the same issue. I learned it's best to let it dry out between waterings (not all the way, but mostly dry) and then give it a thorough watering and let it get mostly dry again before watering again.

Well it could be alot of things, light, too much water or not enough, etc, but what I would start with is are you using tap water from the faucet to water them?If so, it could be a salts build up from city water supply. You should always use filtered, distilled, bottled or best, collected rain water to water your plants. It is of better quality than tap water and much lower in salts levels.

    Good luck
