best medicine for constipation?

i have taken cynicot (spelling) and was able to go within 2 days of taking it. but you should take at least 2-4 a day. it works i have the same problem

There are many OTC meds for this available. It's just what works best for you. Try a stool softener and drink 8-10 glasses of water daily for a healthy body. If you have a very hard stool then please don't try to push this out. You can cause your rectum to prolapse through the anus. There are some tips that might help. If you have extra virgin olive oil in the house then try spreading some on a piece of whole wheat bread. Then just eat it.The fiber and oil both help constipation. You need plenty of fiber too. If there's no supplement in the house then try whatever fiber you do have. Vegetables, whole wheat, etc all have this. If you still can't go by tomorrow you need to go to a clinic to help your impaction. This is done by a doctor or nurse coating around the rectum and anus with some type of lubricant. If it is hurting, you should definitely take a laxative. That should get out everything that is hurting you now within 6 to 12 hours. and you might want to take stool softeners a couple of times a week in the future if this is a recurring problem.
