Are you tired of inspired Asian films becoming white-washed like the The Last Airbender?
If you didn't already know, Avatar: The Last Airbender, main cast are all white. There are a lot of people who are disappointed especially myself since I am an Avatar fan. Does Hollywood think that an all Asian film won't be as successful as some white films? Why can't we have more big budget ethnic influenced films with action, drama, and comedy? Don't white people like to see other ethnic groups on the big screen? I understand that whites are still the majority in America but are they not opened-minded enough to see a more diverse Hollywood? There have been a few ethnic films in the last few years that have done well but we need more then just a few.
Can you remember the uproar from white people when Beyonce wanted to play the role of Wonder Woman? Hmmm...

lmao I asked a similir question about DBall Z having pretty much white folk with a few asian tokens. Avatar is gonna have a white cast? That's bullsh!t man. I guess that's another movie that I'm not going to watch. Asian people have literally no celebrities to look up to... I guess it's gonna stay the way for quite some time.

Isn't Avatar the last airbender a cartoon with Japanese influence? It's Disney not Hollywood. I don't know maybe there were no Asian people who auditioned to voice the characters? or they failed to pass the audition? I have no idea. But that's how it is.
I heard DBZ the movie has white casts. I mean isn't that originally a Japanese anime....they should've at least made the main character Asian.
Edit:
Nvm Avatar was in Nickolodean not Disney so yeah you're right it's Hollywood stuff

Ugh. I heard about this. I already feel like my beloved Avatar is going to be Hollywood-ified and I'm not happy about it to be honest. Especially for those of us that actually watched the entire show from it's beginning to that last kiss between Aang and Katara. I'm pretty much sure that it's going to lose that Asian flair.
Whatever though. I guess I'll still go see it. I'm not giving up on it 100%. It could be pretty good. ^^

I am pretty sure Asian people worked with White to make Avatar. Am a big fan of that show and IDC if it was made by aliens or w/e, as long as I can watch it

Leonardo Di Caprio is staring in Akira. Another crappy casting. The Departed is also a hongkong remake.
I hate Hollywood films. I haven't gone to one in ages. All style no heart. Internet is king! LOL

Yes, the DBZ movie looked terrible and it was. I heard that there are also making a live action verizon of Battle Royale, Cowboy Bebop, Ghost in the Shell, and Evanglion.

dont you notice that a lot of asian characters are being taken over by white ppl. For example, Dragon Ball Z. WTF Goku is not ******* white. Bulma is debatable but... wtv. But anyway I totally agree with you thats not right. Cuz I watch the cartoon too and I know for a fact that Aang, Kataara, and Sokka is far from white (except Aang he looks chinese yellow-whitish ).

Not really. Surprise. Guess Hollywood isn't as liberal as one might think.
EDIT:
I wouldn't mind if Beyonce played Wonder Woman. It would be nice for a change in my view.
