small bridge building with utility poles?
I need to build a bridge across a 20' wide stream.
My idea is to use 30' utility poles, 2+2 where vehicle tires would be, and rough saw 2x? decking.
It is for a driveway so it must support things like the oil delivery truck and (God forbid) fire trucks.
I have available 6 slightly used poles. There will be no support in the center, just the 5' on each side of the stream and the 20' span.
I need some data as to what these poles are capable of supporting with that kind of load.

Even if you bolted 4 14" deep LV L's together you still won't have enough strength to drive a car over it. You're going to need the help of a structural engineer for this one. A 20' free span with the dead loads for the materials plus the live load of a car are huge.
