A clean install of your operating system will make your computer perform. CCleaner, malwarebytes, Spybot Search and Destroy, Ad-aware and easycleaner are good program to run, as they will clean out a great deal of dead wood you have accumulated.

Understand that every web page that gives you a coupon tracker, every time you download a 30 day trial of a software package it adds and changes files that are never cleaned up. Over time your computer has changed, and has a lot of these changes that have been made impede the optimum performance of the hardware, and your operating system.

A clean install, with all the updates & patches, and an small footprint anti-virus is as fast as your system is going to become. You can be certain you have the best hardware, a 10,000 RPM hard drive instead of a 7,200 or 5.400 unit, 3 GB of memory instead of 1 GB, search down the best Bios, turn up the wick on your CPU, overclocking. Join a overclocking forum: ask and spend hours modifying your system as it was done by others using your hardware.

Can you add a magic software and have it make your system into a new dual quad performer, sorry that is only software marketing hype...

If you are running WinXP, there are a number of tweaks you can perform that will allow your system to run marginally faster. There are also some website that will guide you in disabling a few features in Vista that will let your system run noticeably faster...

Hardware upgrades, max memory, overclocking and install only the software you are going to use is a proven method to make your system faster... Yet for the unwary overclocking is carrying a stick of dynamite in one hand and burning torch in the other hand...

It tries to charge you for cleaning out your computer which you can do more effectively using free software that is available on the internet. You can do it yourself, have better control and get better results. As far as speed goes, its only obvious if you had a lot of crap on your computer that was slowing it, so after you clean it up, it will improve performance, just not anything as drastic as they make it seem in the commercials.

    Not really..

it does speed up your computer a bit, but not that much..

    1. Use CCleaner to clear Temporary Files data

    2. Use Auslogics Disk Defrag to defrag all your hard drives
