Breathing issue in early pregnancy?

This is my second pregnancy. I admit, I am overweight (180 lbs at 5'4") but I am still in decent shape.

I am 5 or 6 weeks and I have been having trouble breathing. Not that I can't breathe at all, but it is just harder to take a deep breath. This happens when I am sitting in a chair doing nothing, standing, or lying down. It happens 5-15 times a day.

I feel my heart rate speed up, but not to anything crazy. It would just jump from 80 to 100 bmp when I am at rest. I have talked to my doctor but she said that if I think it is life threatening (which I don't think it is) to go to the ER. She said if my heart rate jumps to over 120 (which it does'nt to call her.

But I still feel like this is not normal and didn't happen with my daughter. I am 22 by the way.

Any ideas what this could be or if it sounds normal???

I had the same problem and still do at 18 weeks..my doc said its because of the heart having to pump more blood due to the pregnancy, he also said its very important to drink your 8 glasses of water a day or your body thinks its dehydrated and the same thing happens your body is trying to compensate.. so try drinking the water..and staying hydrated, i have found this helps alot..

it is my 2nd being pregnant and that i'm close to to 22 weeks, and that i've got undertaking respiratory all of the time. it is been like that thinking the undeniable fact that i substitute into as quickly as 16weeks pregnant. I lose my breath, have undertaking respiratory or taking deep breathes.....it sucks, it wasn't like that until eventually at last plenty later with my first being pregnant.

Sounds like anxiety attacks. Listen to your Doctor and your gut feelings.

Please go to your Dr., it could be high blood pressure, which could lead to preclampsia.

    Good Luck
