Any sort of chocolate chips would be fine. You could even break apart a chocolate bar (this is how chocolate chip cookies were first invented!) and use the pieces of chocolate bar instead of chocolate chips!

Open the bag and taste a few. Hershey's chocolate bars are milk chocolate and taste good to me, and most hot cocoa drinks also taste like milk chocolate .I do prefer semi-sweet chocolate in cookies, but I have never turned down a milk chocolate cookie YUM = )

I use milk chocolate all the time instead of semi-sweet. I think they taste better.

You can substitute ANY flavor of morsel for the chips or use a blend (peanut butter and chocolate chips blend well)

The cookies will definitely taste sweeter, but you can use any type of chocolate chips in cookies. We've also used butterscotch or mint chips and m&m's before to change up the recipe sometimes.
