When should I take a pregnancy test? My period should have started yesterday.?

An at home pregnancy test will show positive on the first day of your missed period if you are pregnant. You should be able to test at any time of day at this point, however the hcg will be stronger in first morning urine. You could give it a few days to save some money then take one.

when i was testing during my first pregnancy, i tested the first couple of days my period was due (with negative results) - but i ended up going to a small clinic when my period was four days late, and i was still testing negative at home.

the doctors urine HCG test was much more sensitive, and the results were a very lite positive! the nurse told me that with your first pregnancy a lot of women experience trouble detecting their pregnancy early/normally because your body isn't used to the hormone changes and it can take a few extra days for a positive result.

( also blood tests detect the pregnancy hormone much sooner, but a lot of clinics won't perform a blood test until you are at least one full week late )

You can take a test after 4-5 days bec till then the hcg level is good enough to get you the best response. Wow!! the symptoms show that you will get lucky soon yuppy!!!!!..... i will pray for you so keeping my fingers cross and do update us with your result in 4 days :)

Take one first thing in the morning. The line might be faint, but a line is a line. If it is faint wait a couple days and take another. Good Luck!!

Take it first thing in the morning if your period still hasn't started. It should be accurate.
