How do people rate the Bush administration's handling of the North Korea situation?
I remember hearing a lot of tough talk about NK during the Bush campaign and pre Iraq. Once we got bogged down militarily in Iraq all the sudden they seemed more interested in diplomacy. Up until the nuclear detonation this weekend, I had thought that the previous administration did an acceptable job with NK. I am just curious as to what others think, especially pro Bush people. Thanks
Edit: Lady B. That link was not a source, it was a biased opinion by someone who obviously does not like the Clintons

Bush was in a bind with NK, so he basically let it slide to the UN. NK want direct face-to-face talks with America. At that point Bush was still trotting out the standard bullshit 'don't deal with terrorists' thing...of course, he soon made a liar of himself on that (see Iran, July 2008).
In all he handled it as well as could be expected for a guy who'd dug a couple of holes elsewhere in the world.

Bush dealt with it in basic terms effective. N. Korea grow to be searching for money, as they constantly are while they act up periodically. We gave them some, yet now they desire greater. we are going to pay them off and each thing will calm down back, offered that Kim's psychosis isn't too far stepped forward and he does something that reasons South Korea and Japan to work together him militarily. If that occurs, the completed civilized international ought to come down on Kim directly and decisively.

Bush did what he could but he didn't get taken to the cleaners like Bill Clinton's Madeline Al-bright did.
here is the link: http://www.fresnobee.com/277/story/41254.html
As "co-president," the Clinton administration was duped (former Secretary of State Madeline Albright's words) by North Korea about their intentions to continue developing nuclear weapons after we gave them millions to develop the peaceful use of nuclear power.

It doesn't matter, the ball is Obama's now. Get used to it.
