does weightlifting??

does weight lifting cause your blood vessels to shrink meaning less oxygen to your heart. because im also a track athlete and i want to be good at it so im wondering if i should stop lifting because of this? thanks for the answers in head of time.

    No it wont. Since you are doing track just a suggestion; cut back on the weight lifting and spend more time doing cardio (swimming,running,ect.),

    this will improve your endurance thus allowing your circulatory system to transport oxygen to various parts of the body more efficiently.

    The answers above are correct. Weight lifting increases your blood vessels and increases blood flow.

    Weightlifting does exactly the opposite of what you asked. When done properly, and in conjunction with cardio, weightlifting is a heart-healthy exercise.
