Did Jesus Tell On Himself?.......?
Did jesus tell on himself in this particular passage in the bible.
Matthew Chapter 24:
24 For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.
^ What's funny about this passage is jesus himself fits this exact description.
Acts Chapter 2
22 Ye men of Israel, hear these words; Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved of God among you by miracles and wonders and signs, which God did by him in the midst of you, as ye yourselves also know:
.....Now you see why us non-believers are "Skeptical".
I believe that everyone can relate to Matthew 24:24. Or am i just taking this out of context?.
@Woodrow the Basehead
"Is that the best you can do?"
LOL i'm not trying to prove anything, because the bible just told me to be skeptical of false messiahs & phophets they would show and bring greats signs. So is that the best you can do? You cannot believe that jesus was made up by other men? well do you believe that Zues was made up? osiris? adonis?....YES! you do!..need i say more?
@ David
You are not offending me,because i'm not a christian i am a fellow non-believer!...you are insulting them!..lol
@ Olwide
There is? where? 5 years of history research and biblical accounts, i can't find anything of jesus. However there were men named jesus back in those times do you know why? because jesus was a common name for men back in those times. You go to israel today you'll probably meet a jew named jesus!
@ Demented Oliveoil-Sleep Deprived
No one's taking it out of context when it is in context!, why do all "Christians" use the same excuse for their bible verses. This is what is say,YOU ARE THE ONE WHO IS TAKING IT OUT OF CONTEXT!.

Is that the best you can do? There are lots of things in the New Testament that are contradictory or seem strange.
But yeah, that one is a good example. Jesus said on several occasions, when people said, "OK if you're a prophet, do some magic tricks or something." (of course I'm paraphrasing) And Jesus said "No, you get no tricks. What am I, a performing monkey?" (again, just paraphrasing). Then other times he would heal everyone within a ten mile radius.
And there are things in the story of Jesus that make him seem so human, like an average Joe, that it's almost comical. My favorite one of those is when Jesus went back to his hometown, and no one would take him seriously. At the other towns, who didn't know him, everyone was blown away, but when he went to where he had grown up, everyone just laughed at him and ignored his message. "Is that that Jesus kid? I heard he hangs out in the desert with a bunch of hippies" All the town people just laughed at him and patronized him. He went back to his disciples and was pissed off, saying there's no point for a prophet to go to his hometown.
Or when Jesus' mom came looking for him, and he ignored her and said "You guys are my mother and brother!" I can imagine Mary. "Jesus! What are you doing here with all of these strange men!? You'll catch a cold if you don't put a jacket on!"
It's stories like this that make me believe Jesus really existed. It's just too idiosyncratic and human to be made up by people who thought Jesus was God.

No absolutely not! Here are how others of noteworthiness felt about Christ and his activity which indeed should help us see, he indeed was unique:
*** gt The Greatest Man Who Ever Lived ***
The historian H. G. Wells said that a man’s greatness can be measured by ‘what he leaves to grow, and whether he started others to think along fresh lines with a vigor that persisted after him.’ Wells, although not claiming to be a Christian, acknowledged: “By this test Jesus stands first.”
Jesus uniqueness reports great activity that as above and the following:
"Answering such skeptics, the respected historian Will Durant argued: “That a few simple men should in one generation have invented so powerful and appealing a personality, so lofty an ethic and so inspiring a vision of human brotherhood, would be a miracle far more incredible than any recorded in the Gospels.”

True, He fits but There were prophecies of how the Real Messiah or Christ . Like his birth..Life...Where would he be born and events that took place were only fullfilled in Jesus...so he warned fo False ones.
MY POINT is..he fullfilled many prophecies..that were made hundreds of years before his birth. So...He is not included in that text.
And Proof that jesus existed is not necessary..because the world we live today...revolves around what he taught and many way too many beleive..and i don't think millions of people could be wrong..Neither a book that came from god...so yes it is in context.
IMAGINE how excited a young Jew named Andrew must have been when he first listened to the words of Jesus of Nazareth! The Bible states that Andrew rushed to his brother and said: “We have found the Messiah [or, Christ].” (John 1:41) In the Hebrew and Greek languages, the words usually translated “Messiah” and “Christ” mean “Anointed One.” Jesus was the Anointed One, or the Chosen One of God—the promised Leader. (Isaiah 55:4) The Scriptures contained prophecies concerning him, and the Jews at the time were in expectation of him.—Luke 3:15.
How do we know that Jesus really was God’s Chosen One? Well, consider what happened in the year 29 C.E. when Jesus was 30 years of age. He went to John the Baptizer to be baptized by him in the waters of the Jordan River. The Bible states: “After being baptized Jesus immediately came up from the water; and, look! the heavens were opened up, and he saw descending like a dove God’s spirit coming upon him. Look! Also, there was a voice from the heavens that said: ‘This is my Son, the beloved, whom I have approved.’” (Matthew 3:16, 17) After hearing those words of approval, could John have had any doubt that Jesus was God’s Chosen One? By pouring out His holy spirit on Jesus, Jehovah God anointed him, or appointed him, to be the King of His coming Kingdom. Thus, Jesus became Jesus Christ, or Jesus the Anointed One. In what way, though, was Jesus God’s Son? What was his origin?

Im an atheist, but even i accept that theres at least evidence for the existence of a man called Jesus in that area 2000 years ago, it is stupid to debate the existence of historical figures when we all just care about the nonexistence of a fictional character, God!

Do you believe other false prophets did what they did for the same reason Jesus did them? Try to answer that for yourself, without taking it out of context.

Jesus, thus far as i understand stated he grow to be the son of God and not God. even nevertheless it has come all the way down to indicate that the son of God must be God which in a manner is authentic as a results of fact we are actually not speaking approximately ordinary adult males like prince Charles and that one - Wills.
