Can I paint a bathtub?

We want our bathtub to be white.. my mom thinks it can be painted but we cant figure out how. its beige now.

    Yes you can, it requires a special epoxy paint so you should definitely do it in the spring/summer months so you can get plenty of ventilation.

    Your bathtub may have been refinished either by the homeowner or professionally. The most effective solution is to have it stripped and refinished professionally again, this is not a do-it-yourself installation. There are strong chemicals involved, specifically ethylene chloride paint remover, is the only thing that will remove epoxy paint, (most likely that's what is on the tub now),the room must be well ventilated and it takes about one to two hours to remove all the coatings on the tub surface. Not a pleasant job to do, but extremely important.

    yes your tub can be painted

    in fact go to your local paint and h/w store and ask for tub and shower paint

    i had to do mine twice cuz i didnt sand good enuff and spots came off

    but it does work if used corectly mine has hel up for more then 3 years

    Yes there are special kits that are about $50- $100 to do it.

    no, you can not paint the bath tub you have to get it professionally resurfaced. the epoxy paint is not strong enough to do a good job

    yes it can be painted.needs to be properly cleaned.then apply epoxy paint.best to get instructions at home depot.or lowes.good luck.

    you pay someone around $300.oo to do it professionally

    I have used urethane paints when I do mine... you will not like what you do if you try to do it.
