Weird Pregnancy Test Question (little long, sorry)?
A couple days ago I decided to take a pregnancy test as I was then a week late (now over a week late). I took it in the middle of the afternoon, even though I know you are supposed to use first morning urine. It came out with a faint line. I'm really excited as is my hubby, but I want to be sure before I tell anyone or anything, so I decided to take another one this morning to hopefully get a better line. The weird thing is the line on this mornings test was fainter and disappeared after the reading window (I can still see the line on the one a few days ago).
Has this happened to anyone else?
I have symptoms (sore and swollen breast, cramping without bleeding, tired, moody, etc) still, but I'm worried now that I'm going to miscarry or that there is something wrong. I know I need to see the doc and will be going in this week.
Thanks for any advice and Good Luck.

If you can see the line at ALL that means you are pregnant. The second one could have been defective if the line disappeared like that. When I was pregnant, I took a test well after when I should have been able to get the true results. It showed up NOTHING at all. So sometimes they do not work properly. If you had a faint line on the first one, I'd just go by that and get to a doctor as soon as you can so they can do a test there. Good luck and I hope that you are pregnant!!

I took a test 2 days after my missed period. I took a home pregnancy at night & it came out positive. A lady @ a pregnancy clinic said, if you take a pregnancy you're more than likely pregnant. Doctors/Midwifes usually only like to see you 8-10 weeks pregnant. With this morning test you took if the line did show up you're most likely pregnant. Look at how late you are on your period. Go to the doctor & confirm your pregnancy there via blood or urine test. They won't want to see you for your first prenatal visit like I said until between 8-10 weeks! Good Luck!

this did happen to me last october i was a couple of days late and took a test result was a feint line. next morning i took one and no line so waited a few days and another said no too. i went to the doctor and he said it sounded like a chemical pregnancy. could be though that you were drinking less that day so hormone was less dilute in the urine so showed up better. good luck.

You may just be so early in your pregnancy that the test doesn't read as accurately. I would take another and call your doctor. Let them know what has been going on with the tests, they'll probably have you come in for a blood test. Sending baby dust your way! =)

They almost never give false positive results so even the faintest line would be a positive and even so they are only good for so long after a while of sitting the tests results aren't accurate any more.

Sometimes it can just be the type of test. I would get a digital one so you don't have to worry about lines.

i would go to the store and get one of the digital test....they are expensive...but i think that they work wonderfull...when i was pregnant with my 1st i kept gettin lines so faint that i thought that i was just seeing things....i bought a digital one and boom within seconds it popped up Pregnant!!!
It also stays on the screen of 24 hours so its a nice way to surprise someone(like putting in a box and when they open it...SURPRISE!!!!)
