The MPG is dependent on whether it is a stick or automatic. Since it is an LE, I suspect it is an automatic. City - expect 29 to 31; highway - expect 35-38. A lot depends on where you live. At high altitudes such as Denver, they have 85 octane gas which drops your mileage about 10%. For average use of 12k miles a year, if the car has 120,000 miles on it and was well maintained, it will last you a long time to come. I traded my '88 in with 180,000 on it and was still going fine at the time.

how is anyone here supposed to know how many miles are on the specific car you are looking at???

    Duh...

as for how many miles would be reasonable for a 1999 used car, then figure 15,000 per year, and the 2010's are already out, so that means that toybox you are looking at is a 11 year old car, 11 X 15,000 = 165,000 miles.

with that mileage, a manual transmission and a 1.8 litre engine the book gives the trade in value in good condition as $1975.00

figure at least double that for excellent condition retail and better options...
