What type of gas stations are there in northern Arizona?
I'm planning a trip to the northern part of AZ, including the Grand Canyon and Monument Valley. Could someone please tell me what gas station companies are popular in that part of the state (Exxon, Chevron, etc.)?
Also, any travel advice to this region is greatly appreciated.

Considering the fact that I used to live out there and have my bootprints all over the inside of the Canyon it's embarrassing that the only Brand Name gas stations that come to my mind are the Chevron in Tuba City AZ and the Shell in Cameron
Lets's see if going to >Search the Web >and then typing in something like "Tuba City AZ gas stations works "
It does

So pick a town & type it in
There is no gas in GCNP But there is gas in Tusayan AZ although getting it in Flagstaff would be cheaper still
There are multiple gas stations in the Cameron , Tuba City , Kayenta AZ & Mexican Hat ,& Bland UT and there are also gas stations at many of the Trading Posts scattered across the Rez>
Btw Gas tends to be expensive & off-brand at those place
Travel advice for this region ?
Think personal safety first
It's Open Range out there >which means that fences keep animals out and not in .
It's not that unusual to be blasting down the road at 70 mph come over a rise and see a herd of sheep or even worse a couple of cows standing in the middle of the road >OMG !! isn't adequate enough to describe what that feels like
Burn this concept into your brain :
While numerically something like 80 % of the actual accidents in the West happen in urban areas , statistically 80 % of the fatalities resulting from accidents happen in rural areas
An accident that you would easily survive in downtown Phoenix will easily kill you in Cow Spring AZ
Reasons
The nearest hospital that can treat your injuries can easily be 60-80+ miles away
You're in an area where cell phone coverage is spotty at best
Due to the vagaries of weather and altitude the prefered method of transporting you is overland and not by air
Some of your fellow drivers don't have a clue as to how to drive in that environment
The single biggest cause of major accidents is either head on colllision or moves taken to avoid head on collisions
The single biggest cause of all that is people who completely misjudge how much distance that they need to do a legal passing move that uses an oncoming traffic lane as the passing lane
Get into the habit of looking around and behind any large vehicle that is coming at you to see whether or not somebody is gonna pull out and into your lane
Have an escape route planned out before that all happens
You can tell who the natives are b/c they usually drive a little to the right and sometimes have cars with bumpers stickers that say
"Please pray for me and mine I drive US 89 "
Feel free to write if you need more info or just go up to "Search for questions " and look for GCNP questions
Both my name and the name of another experienced hiker named sascoaz will show up frequently
Enjoy the areas b/c it's stunningly beautiful and unique

Here is a list of stations in the Phoenix area. You can adjust it for the areas that you will be traveling to.
If you are considering getting credit cards for the various companies, that will probably not be necessary. Most ATM/debit/charge cards are accepted at the pump. Cash is accepted everywhere.
I used my MasterCard throughout Colorado and New Mexico 2 years ago.
