PowerPoint Help: Footnotes defined in the master are not appearing in the slides.?

In powerpoint, Footnotes defined in the master, are not appearing in the slides, even after giving the layout to the slide.

I am using 2007 version. Can you please help out.

    You need to turn the footer on...

    Go to the Insert tab.

    Click on Header and Footer.

    On the Slide tab, click on footer.

    I believe you can only set one footer and you fill in the text in the above dialog box.

    If you want individual footers, you will have to do them manually.
