will it run on a laptop with an ati radion 3100? i have all the other system requirements.

Unfortunately, it is not listed in the supported graphics card list for the system requirements.
However, you can see for yourself by running a "Can You Run It?" test here: http://www.systemrequirementslab.com/referrer/srte... But these are not always accurate.

I wondered that same thing until I went to the Sims 2 website forums where I found a test link where you could test your computer. It did say the cpu processor speed calculations were inaccurate, but you can still run it if you want.

It will run but your graphics might be a bit lacking though hopefully not too much. You should at the least be able to run the game on low settings.
