Taken form the Idaho law books. If you find a shop that will do it, let those of us on Yahoo Answers know so we can report them, and stay as far away form that place as possible. And, while we're at it, we'll report your mother to Child protective Services for child neglect and endangerment.

If she likes it, then good for her. I wouldn't judge her. Just because of a tattoo at age 14, won't mean she'll end up with a not-so-great future. But personally, I think getting that huge of a tattoo on a very visible place that isn't even done well isn't a great idea. No koodos to the tattoo artist then, if it really is like in your description. I think the word "Love" is a bit of a superficial and overused thing to get tattooed. Just my two cents.

I echo Rocketwife. She is right. It is illegal for you to try to get a tattoo. In 45 of the 50 states, you MUST be 18 with a valid, government issued ID. In the other 5, you must be at least 16, with ID and a parent present with you at the time.
You can report everyone here if you want. I think it's just because everyone else is saying what you don't want to hear. Wait until you're of legal age. No reputable artist is going to risk his or her license for kid...and that's what you are.

Yeah, unlicensed, unregulated, unlawful tattoo parlors. Any with a license won't touch anyone under 18 with out a parent present.

Babe, I don't live in Idaho but I know no one will tattoo you, especially when you're 14, and probably look your age. Honestly, I wanted tattoos when I was your age as well but now I decided its best to wait until you know what you want to be in the future because you don't want to ruin your future.

Well I got all mine in the Boise Idaho area, and yes, they did make sure I was 18. I havent ever been anywhere that didnt ID people. The only people would probably be like a personal friend or something. They wont do it at an established business cuz they could get shut down, just like selling alcohol or cigs to minors.

It's a horrible idea to get a tattoo at the age of 14. You are still growing, and you may regret what you have gotten. Wait until your actually of age before you get one.

i know that some places tattoo 16 year olds with parental permmission and even younger, you are going to need parental permmision for sure though. just look up some tattoo shops in idaho on google and call them and ask how old do you have to be with parental permmision.
just think about it and where you are going to get it because its permanent and it does or can affect your job or when you get one.
if you really want one get it in a spot you can easily hide.
good luck =]
