x64 Windows Xp Compatable with I-Tunes?

When I download I see in order for you to download I-tunes you need a 64 bit I tunes installer. But all I see is 64 bit for Vista. I know you need Service Pack 2 for I-tunes, which I am downloading now. But what about 64 bit for Windows Xp will that work. If anybody knows, Let Me Know,

Thanks.

iTunes will work on XP Professional x64 with no trouble. All you need to do is...

Download the 32bit version. It will work. The 64bit's installer is set up to look for Vista 64bit instead of also supporting Windows Server 2003 64bit (if you are sing Windows XP x64 you already know that it is built on Server 2003 architecture) iTunes is made by Apple...they don't understand this sort of stuff. Windows XP x64 and Vista 64bit will work just fine in 32bit mode. It is a built in ability that again Apple must not know about.

The 32bit installer will reommend that you install the 64 bit version....but will allow you to continue with the installation.

    Source(s): I just did it...on my XP x64/Windows 7 computer.
