Sharing Geraniums-Transplanting?

I'd like to share my geraniums with my daughter for her new house. I read up on propergating but taking a cutting & waiting for the roots to grow takes a while. Is it possible to split the roots from the ground to transplant it to her garden? Anyone have quicker ways to do this? Thanks!

Geraniums generally have only one main stem per plant - so that would defeat your purpose.

Cuttings root and grow pretty fast.

See source for more information about growing geraniums.

you cannot 'split' or 'divide' a geranium.... cuttings is the way to get more plants from one.... if you want to hurry, give daughter a whole one of your plants..... then she and you can both take cuttings to add to your collections....
