Harry Potter or Twilight?
Okay there's this little thing going on about how Twilight kicks Harry Potter's butt and vice versa.
Honestly, which one is the best??
Compare:
The Books
The Movies.
The viewers/readers/critics reviews.
DO NOT COMPARE THE ACTORS/ASTRESSES that plays the characters. I dont want to know nothing of that.
ALL OPINIONS SHOULD BE AND WILL BE RESPECTED.
BUT BE REASONABLE. Meaning dont write something that says "I like them because they're hot and sexy....etc."
TELL ME WHY!!! DONT JUST TELL ME WHAT YOUR CHOICE IS!!! HOw IS THAT GONNA PROVE THEY'RE THE BEST??!?!?
Edward and Bella Forever:
How do you know I haven't read the books?!?!!! In fact I have!! I have all of 'em!! Want to see a picture!?!
And I just want to know. I know its my opinion but can a person see other people's opinion besides herselves?!
What the heck is wrong with that?!?! Geesh!!

You want me to compare twilight to harry potter by the books and movies and reviews. I have seen and read all twilight and harry potter movies and read plenty of reviews on them.
Harry Potter books have imagination that draw readers in and it isn't written in first person, which is preferred so the readers can make there own opinouns about the characters. This is why I like harry potter: it created a world of imagination that only keeps getting better and is magical and delightful to read, that put a smile on my face.
I didn't like Twilight, because Twilight lacks any imagination and Bella had limited emotions. The characters were badly developed, and Edward was too perfect he just got boring. It was a tame, predictable book: and leaving me a sense of dissappointment (I read it before the massive hype) As the series progressed, Bella became more unlikeable and Edward (as though he was seemed perfect) had impossible flaws like being overprotective. And it was ridiculous
THE MOVIES:
Harry Potter
I was seven when I saw this and loved it. Chris Columbus managed to absorb the universal themes in harry potter to create something that was once-in-a-lifetime. It had a beautiful score and had morals about friendship. I guess morals are very good in movies. As the years progressed, I had my OCD with Harry Potter: I was interested in the imaginative characters. And it was very well acted all throughout the series. When a character died, I felt that I died inside. No movie can ever do that to me, and this series is a first.
Twilight:
I was fourteen, my sister (16 yr old, seen it 4 times) took me. I have hope in movies; that they'll always be better. But the directer, Catherine Hardwicke had bad direction. It was fussy and the visual effects were lacking. The THIRTEEN directer made this movie annoying and unbearable with the low character development, bad editing and the over and under acting. Twilight doesn't have any morals, and the finale was tame. A vampire movie needs that gorey bite to it, but it was forgettable.
REVIEWS
On a site called www.rottentomatoes.com, which counts critic's reviews for films, Harry Potter 1 got a 77%, which was actually the lowest in the whole entire series. Twilight, however got 49%.
On wikipedia, Twilight opened to mix reviews for similar reasons that I have listed for the novel.
Harry Potter got exceptional reviews and a massive fan base that will emerge as one of the wonders of the 21st century.
We will tell our kids about Harry Potter, never about Twilight.

The books:
Twilight is more romancey with action and adventure/fantasy mixed in, while HP is mostly action, adventure, and fantasy, with a little romance and mystery sprinkled here and there. As for book quality, HP is more eloquently written, more like literature, while Twilight is honestly more of a guilty pleasure kind of read. However, HP is more "alive" throughout the series, while Twilight drags on a little after the second book.
The movies:
Well, there's only one Twilight movie out so far, so..yeah. It stayed pretty close to the book plot, but there were some deviations and the quality of the actors' performances were not that wonderful. I'm hoping for redemption in the New Moon movie. The HP movies stay closer to the books' plots and are much better in the technical aspect (visual effects, acting, etc.)
Viewers/readers/critics reviews:
In short, Twilight gets lots of I LOVE TWILIGHT!!!!111ONEONEone!1 from girls (sometimes boys..), but mostly because of how dreamy Edward Cullen is. I hear a lot of "I hate twilight", too though. I don't think anyone was impressed with the movie, even people who like the book.
As for HP, I think most viewers/readers/critics like it.
Well, hope that helps!
I'm personally a Twilight fan, believe it or not. But I'm comparing from an objective level.

Twilight is better because it has a more interesting plot. The book is much different then things we have seen. Harry Potter gets credit though. The movies are fantastic. But the plot. We hear about wizards ALL the time! We hardly ever hear about vampires, combined with werewolves, and romance! The movies are great because of course
Edward and Jacob
Great actresses/actors for the parts
Amazing filming skills
Now I will discuss the viewers and everyone. I think we are going a little overboard with BOTH. I mean really, do we have to battle to see which is better? Harry Potter vs. Twilight? Really guys, come on. I think we are all going crazy, and becoming obsessed. It's turning into a war. Twilight fans are going crazy. They made a religion called Cullenism. But still, Harry Potter fans are getting nasty. They are being very rude about Twilight. It is offensive to many people. I think Twilight over all really great. I think Twilight is a lot better for all those reasons.
Hope this helps!

Twilight is better because it's more believable, and because it's 1st person. Harry Potter seems kind of ridiculous with the potions and spells and broomsticks and all. Everything in Twilight is normal except for the vampires. It's written so that you feel Bella's emotions which make it seem real. Harry Potter is written in 3rd person, so you don't get as many details and such.
The Twilight movie is better too because of the storyline. It's really just perfect, but something tragic and over-dramatic always happens in Harry Potter.

Harry Potter, ftw.
Books: I personally think that J.K. Rowling is a way better author, who writes with a more wide variety i.e. humour, love, adventure. Twilight books were good, but it's just a love story.. I mean, c'mon. Why are we obsessing just about Twilight? It's not the first book with a vampire; Stephenie Meyer just got lucky with the whole Edward Cullen thing.
Movies: Twilight movie wasn't that good, I'm sorry. It was okay, I guess, but nothing compared to the book. Harry Potter movies, okay, they weren't all as good as the book, but they kept most of the important parts and made them come to life well.
Audience: Harry Potter has a much bigger audience. Twilight is just a bunch of fanatic pre-teens and teens, whereas Harry Potter appeals to just about anybody. Like, c'mon, even my PARENTS like it.

Harry Potter all the way! Twilight is just a love story, but Harry Potter is everything; humor, love, action, adventure, and more!
The books are both great, but like I said before.
The movies...Harry Potter! The Twilight movie sucked! I'm sorry, but it did.

Both of them are very good. You shouldn't have to go online to see which one is better. It is your decision to make the choice. Everybody has their different opinions. You should read the books first instead of getting an answer off the Internet. Just read them both before making any assumptions.
